🎙️Why 10x leverage on prediction markets actually matters. Great conversation with @SteveFlanders22, Founder & CEO of @Lattica Prediction markets did $60B+ in 2025 and now clear billions weekly yet almost all of it still runs at 1x. Capital sits locked in outcome tokens, idle and un-levered. Why Lattica: → Borrow against your prediction-market positions → Trade outcomes with up to 10x leverage → Supply USDC and earn from leverage demand no directional bet required The thesis is simple: prediction markets have the volume, now they need the credit layer. Leverage turns a sitting position into working capital. Full episode dropping soon 👇

Talking about my fav topic from my fav coffee shop
the “prediction markets are just gambling” take is lazy. every new technology hits a moment where misuse shows up. the answer is guardrails, not a shutdown. we’re repeating the same mistake we’ve made with AI and every tech before it. shutting it down doesn’t protect anyone. it just holds the country back. @vanishree_rao breaking it down on @PricedInpod.

Imagine loosing because you used an aggregator. A trader doesnt want just the best price, anyone can route to that. This article details the biggest gap you probably missed out when executing that trade.

The biggest problem i understood after talking to teams building on prediction markets: - Teams are not able to innovate due to the lack of necessary infrastructure needed for creating access to innovation. - Most teams who are willing to innovate are barely making enough to keep the dream alive, high costs but low revenue due to the isolated revenue paths currently available makes them close to 0 so they have to charge users directly further increasing churn cos why would people want to pay more when they can directly execute on the venues themselves. - Competition but from the venues themselves, this is subtle for users but a really big issue for builders, since venues are competing and trying to own as much of their stack as possible, there’s a high chance teams would get eaten up. No one wants to wake up and see they can go ahead with their idea anymore because the venues built what they have ( happened with the kalshi pro terminal) - New innovations need trust, but most people find it hard to trust teams with their money ( due to recent hacks and product uncertainty) although this is normal, most users just go back to their safe space cos teams are not transparent. - Lack of experience is one of the most unspoken reason , with the rise of AI how do users feel safe with their funds when the teams that built the product themselves aren’t sure their product is safe. Although prediction markets are new , the best thing to do is not force products down peoples throats but show them the authenticity behind your said innovation. Theres so many more i could list and this was based off my research talking to teams who have been struggling in the space and even the ones who are trying to innovate. This is the reason why we are building @uselotusxyz to open new paths to success while making sure users get more and builders are able to innovate without the fear of being eaten up. We just want people to be able to back their belief without fear.

"In recent days, Bitchat has seen a sharp rise in popularity in India. Market intelligence provider Sensor Tower shared data with TechCrunch that showed that India accounted for about 85% of the app’s global downloads between July 17 and July 23, compared with about 1% over the previous 30 days. Bitchat was downloaded more than 91,000 times in India over the past five days, after downloads jumped thirty-two-fold on July 19 from the previous day. The app’s daily active users in India also reached more than 330,000 on Thursday, the highest level recorded for the app in the country."

If you're not aware of Lattica is shipping i think your don't have any idea in prediction market what they are cooking 10x leverage 15% APY on stablecoins. Completely uncorrelated to market volatility. Backed by a risk engine built specifically for prediction markets. This is what lending should look like in prediction market. That's exactly how Lattica thinks about prediction market lending follow the founders if you want to go deeper → @SteveFlanders22

Any idiot can give money away, and the same amount of problems remain as before. This is midwits celebrating mediocrity. If $26b was invested into startups that resulted in net new 1 trillion of productive capital, roughly 1 million people would have been permanently lifted out of poverty globally. As any Soviet child can tell you, the emancipation of the proletariat can only be achieved by a massive increase of productive forces. Any spending that doesn’t result in an economic surplus destroys the capital basis that the proletariat revolution can be built.

A short story about Indian scammers who called the cops on themselves: Earlier this week a follower DM'd me from his personal account complaining that 5.73 BTC ($475K) of his was 'unjustly' frozen at Changelly in Mar 2025. So I went and plotted the Bitcoin transaction in my compliance tools. The inflows trace back to illicit sources via social engineering thefts targeting Americans through US exchanges and Bitcoin ATMs. The broader cluster of high confidence thefts has taken $1M+ from victims since 2025, with several of them elderly. His story kept changing. It was a loan. No, his boss sent it. No, his boss invested in Bitcoin "during 2014 and 2015" through a friend in the US. The best part? In Dec 2025 he claims to have filed a police report in India over these frozen funds (3207-P/2025). In our DMs he shared email screenshots which I queried to surface more data points and map his group out. I suspect AmanKesar11 is a mule for his boss 'Mr Parveen,' as the 'proof' he sent included bank statements under a different name / location. While you can message me for help and I'll respect your privacy, at least use common sense and don't contact me with stolen funds. 5.73 BTC frozen order: fb931baac66bfc116deb10fa81417fb3da61e4362cd2997ee1eaa577e96272f3 AmanKesar11 BTC address: bc1q5yjxzcvfswvyx9y6cvlc3xe4laqqnqsjp3f9t2 AmanKesar11 Tron address: TQkEVXjtvSbigGa5fqFUpcYJnGvpKPPBEm

Over 300,000 people die of drowning each year. In order to protect society, it is now illegal to consume or possess water. Your government is also considering banning solid food, as it presents a needless choking hazard. You are not an adult. You are a baby. Eat the baby food.

High-agency people genuinely believe that reality is negotiable in a "there are always more levers to pull" way. It's about having this bone-deep conviction that if you keep poking at something from different angles, eventually something will give.
