Announcing the book "𝑀𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑠𝑡-𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑝"!🦉 The book is a structured deep-dive: we start with the mental models of ASTs, move to rule composition, and end with advanced usage. It’s the place where design principles and philosophy are explained. Link below ↓

Universal GitHub Highlighting is Live!! chromewebstore.google.com/de…
New programming languages are popping up in the AI era. But how do you read on GitHub when it’s all plain text? Introduce GH GPU Highlighter, a web extension with @shuding's gpu-lexer, running on WebGPU. No grammar setup needed! For All Languages! Examples are @vercel 's ZeroLang, @mizchi's VibeLang and my own hd-lang (before/after) 👇

I’m looking for my next role. I created SWC (swc.rs), the Rust-based open-source transpiler used by Next.js, Rspack, Node.js’s amaro, Parcel 2, and other projects. I maintained Next.js and Turbopack at Vercel and previously worked with Deno. My expertise is in developer tooling and performance optimization. I enjoy digging deep into difficult technical problems, and I’m open to new challenges across fields. I prefer roles that let me work remotely from Korea. If you’d like to work together or know a team that could be a good fit, please DM me.

We're starting to see some agentic Rust forks (or alternative implementations) focused on iteration speed. More-so than the specific projects, I'm interested in the ideas being explored (and how they could evolve upstream), so wanted to collate a few here...

I checked the SOTA model writing React, it still loves to write useEffect
Two weeks ago I kicked off a loop to move OpenClaw's Lit-based Web frontend to Solid 2.0. Took ~6 days until we could remove Lit, and another week to move patterns to idiomatic Solid. I checked in with the session every other day, overall the process was mostly automatic. Took about ~600 PRs. Result: Smaller JS and CSS footprint and much more fine-grained update control. Everything feeling more snappy and responsive. team.openclaw.ai/chat/robocl…

another thing is progress, AI cannot reliably improve the system/design monotonically. That is, agent will recommend/implement previous ideas again and again, even with memory/logging in the system.

Nobody on the team keeps a complete mental model of Claude Code in their head, and we don't think anyone needs to. When someone wants to understand a part of the codebase, they ask Claude to write an explainer for exactly that slice claude.dev/blog/solving-code…

Are we seriously thinking about TypeScript Compiler in TypeScript Types???
TypeScript compiler ports, ranked by speed: bun check: 3.2x faster tsc-rs: 1.6x faster tsc-ts: 1x tsgo: 1x tsc-lua: 33x slower Someone had to hold the chart down. 100% conformance though. npm i -g tsc-lua
