Now we use AWS AgentCore runtimes for agents. Soon I also want to take AWS Lambda MicroVMs for a spin and see how much more control it gives us.

New skill: /apple-design Apple’s WWDC videos are a goldmine of knowledge. I’ve combed through my favorite ones and came up with 17 design and motion principles. Use them to review existing work or when working on something new to get it right. github.com/emilkowalski/skil…

How to save 50% of claude code/codex usage: In claude code have you seen messages like "231k uncached tokens" in the bottom right corner? This happens if you reply in a conversation more than 1h old. And if you do those [???]k tokens would be deducted from your usage limit (which can be substantial if it's e.g. 500k fable5 on pro subscription) You can save it by (1)noticing when you're almost at the session limit (2)asking to loop sleeps before your session reset time and resume normal task work after that Works like a charm

I had 14 tabs open just to keep up with AI. arXiv, Papers With Code, every leaderboard, HuggingFace, half a dozen RL-env hubs... So I built one screen for all of it. The Bloomberg terminal for AI research. It's called Sophon 🧵

If you're not building a mini startup with Nano Banana today and launching it tomorrow, you're missing the opportunity of a lifetime This image model just made 100s of new startups and apps possible Only limit is your creativity and how fast you can ship a user interface and put a Stripe payment button on it I think
love these "what does the red arrow see" google maps transforms with nano-banana

We're live! @pydantic Logfire is in open beta. Since I started writing Python in 2010, I've wanted a better way to do logging. Off the back of Pydantic's unbelievable growth, last year I started a company backed by @sequoia, and lucky enough to hire the brightest people I know. Now we've gone and built the logging thing I always wanted. pydantic.dev/logfire

Awesome work from @urchadeDS, in GraphER: A Structure-aware Text-to-Graph Model for Entity and Relation Extraction. We work a lot with wrangling different LLMs into doing domain-specific extraction, and work like this is exactly what our industry needs. Been talking lots about knowledge graphs and LLMs, specifically for autonomous agents, recently. Organized some thought here if you want to dig in 👇 KG 🤝 LLM 🧵 (a thread)

A Novel RAG Approach That Understands The Whole Document Context RAG has rapidly evolved to be the standard way to apply LLMs in production. However, most methods are still limited because most existing methods retrieve only short contiguous chunks from a retrieval corpus, limiting holistic understanding of the overall document context. A new approach named RAPTOR: Recursive Abstractive Processing for Tree-Organized Retrieval (link in alt) proposes recursively embedding, clustering, and summarizing chunks of text, constructing a tree with differing levels of summarization from the bottom up. At inference time, the RAPTOR model retrieves from this tree, integrating information across lengthy documents at different levels of abstraction. Controlled experiments show that retrieval with recursive summaries offers significant improvements over traditional retrieval-augmented LMs on several tasks. On question-answering tasks that involve complex, multi-step reasoning, we show state-of-the-art results; for example, by coupling RAPTOR retrieval with the use of GPT-4, we can improve the best performance on the QuALITY benchmark by 20% in absolute accuracy. We will continue to see more methods like this one that are designed to improve document understanding and RAG. The good thing about this method is that it focuses on the retriever piece, while most of the other methods tinker with the context by adding noise or web results.
