I have stage iv cancer & just announced that I accepted a new job. The number of ppl advising me to not disclose my dx is astounding. My dx is my greatest strength, not a weakness. I won’t acknowledge it as anything less. Incredibly grateful to be joining a team that agrees 😎

Thrilled to see our collaborative work with @LPHernandezGW out! We used "developmental genometric morphometrics" to show the roles that thyroid hormone plays in shaping 4 functional bones of the craniofacial skeleton in zebrafish. @hellostaceface onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

Our first fluid-preserved lizard photogrammetry scan, the reticulate leaf-toed gecko, Hemidactylus reticulatus. Also, the only specimen in our collection that we have for this species from Southern India (UF 126818)! Specimen accessibility for all @FloridaMuseum @sketchfab

I have experimentally confirmed, yet again, that it is perfectly possible to spend 5 hours straight working in R and achieve absolutely nothing

So neat to have this photo from a hike back in 2019 shared, looking forward to more great views in the coming weeks 🍁 – at Newton, MA
It's tough to find a hike in the White Mountains that doesn't offer spectacular foliage views but here are seven foliage hikes that will get you started this season. whitemts.us/FoliageHikes 📷: @hellostaceface (South Moat Summit) #WhiteMountains #VisitNH #MountainMonday

Frogfish are doing something completely different! They have massive rotations (20-30 degrees) over the first two vertebral joints, but nearly the entire vertebral column is rotating -- "uncurling" as the head rotates upwards by 40-50 degrees!

A hospital in Idaho called my hospital asking if they could fly an intubated patient to our ICU because they have no ICU beds open due to covid. We were the closest hospital with at least one open ICU bed. From Idaho. We are in CT.
