I have stage iv cancer & just announced that I accepted a new job. The number of ppl advising me to not disclose my dx is astounding. My dx is my greatest strength, not a weakness. I won’t acknowledge it as anything less. Incredibly grateful to be joining a team that agrees 😎

Thrilled to see our collaborative work with @LPHernandezGW out! We used "developmental genometric morphometrics" to show the roles that thyroid hormone plays in shaping 4 functional bones of the craniofacial skeleton in zebrafish. @hellostaceface

Frogfish are doing something completely different!
They have massive rotations (20-30 degrees) over the first two vertebral joints, but nearly the entire vertebral column is rotating -- "uncurling" as the head rotates upwards by 40-50 degrees!

A hospital in Idaho called my hospital asking if they could fly an intubated patient to our ICU because they have no ICU beds open due to covid. We were the closest hospital with at least one open ICU bed. From Idaho. We are in CT.

Please get vaccinated so I don’t have to hold any more kids hands while I tell them we are going to have to put in a breathing tube to “give them a break from working so hard”. If you are unvaccinated, this is on you #COVID19 #GetVaccinatedNow #PedsICU
