In difficult times we need to stick together. Focus on the mission and ignore the haters. What we’re learning is that while there are many benefits of a decentralized system; an executive function to set the parameters is needed especially in an industry sector that has not fully matured. We welcome conversations with @IOHK_Charles @F_Gregaard @JBriggsLondon to perhaps revisit our current governance. I believe there is a place for the community, DReps and CCs but perhaps more focused in our asks or better incentivised. We have or will be reaching out to the FEs and Intersect to find a way forward. And in all the doom and gloom; we do have some positive announcements in the pipeline for Cardano. Stay tuned.
Healthy ecosystems are built on honest disagreement. Governance only works when people can challenge decisions, question direction, and hold organizations accountable including EMURGO. That is why the distinction between criticism and coordinated toxicity matters. One sharpens the ecosystem and the other is built to exhaust it, drown out builders, and manufacture fear when people dislike a governance outcome. When governance decisions do not go a certain way, the response from a small number of bad-faith actors is not debate. It is targeted harassment meant to intimidate participants and poison the conversation for everyone else. Our blocking process exists for this reason. It is not a way to avoid scrutiny. We welcome scrutiny. This process removes harassment and manufactured noise so genuine discussion has room to happen. Removing a bad-faith account does not silence a legitimate argument. A real point stands on its own. Coordinated abuse does not and treating the two as the same only rewards the people working to make this space unusable. More needs to be done and not by any single entity. A healthier culture is a shared responsibility across founders, DReps, builders, and community members. Toxicity drives away the exact people Cardano needs to keep building. EMURGO will keep participating in governance, and keep engaging in good faith with people who want to move Cardano forward. The work continues regardless of the noise, and that is where our energy belongs.

The Cardano Summit 2026 proposal expires in about 3 hours. As a DRep the most important thing is to cast your vote and make your voice heard. Whether you vote YES, NO or ABSTAIN is your decision to make. I just ask you to make that decision 🙏 @bigpey @BullishDumpling @Waffle_Capital @tempo_vote @longminswap

414.87M ADA. That’s the value currently visualised through the Cardano Treasury explorer built by @Nomos_guild. app.cgov.io/treasury You can actually see where treasury withdrawals are flowing across infrastructure, tooling, governance, research and ecosystem development. This level of transparency changes how people engage with governance. Honestly one of the coolest governance visualisation tools built so far. *Not a paid promotion

Here's a thought experiment I've been doing that I'll put here just in case it's helpful to anyone else. I want you to imagine a world where Midnight is wildly successful. It brings blockchain to the masses, proving that "rational privacy" was always the missing piece for broad adoption. What would that tell you about the world? In that world, Cardano would still exist, but as a public blockchain. What good would it be? Who wants their data public anyway? Ha. Well you're here on Twitter reading this message, aren't you? Think about all the ways we do share public data every day. For example, in the miasma of late-stage Web 2 social platforms that just aren't what they used to be. If you're like me, you accept these platforms as a necessary cost of broadcasting a signal to the world. You hate it and it makes you feel like you just smoked a pack of cigarettes (xitter.cf/Quantumplation/status/…) to browse it all, but you're at a loss as to what other options there are. Now imagine that ADA has lost enough of its value that we're no longer worried about hoarding it for some future where it's more valuable. If ADA wasn't worth hodling, what might you do with it? Could Cardano be the backbone of a high-signal social network that allows us to leave Twitter once and for all? At $0.25/ada, you can already post a message on-chain for about $0.05. If you're willing to pay $8/month to store messages on the X servers, would you be willing to pay the same amount to log 160 high-signal messages on Cardano when you want to broadcast to the world? If Cardano was just a social media protocol with baked in governance features and its own treasury, where our attention wasn't manipulated at the needs of X, but defined by the actual information we want to share with each other, what dominoes might follow? If Cardano validators could define logic for how on-chain datum is written, what capabilities would this social network have? If all of this came true, and we took ownership of our attention and the signals we want to send by actually building new tools that didn't make us feel like junk, wouldn't the value of Ada eventually increase to the point where it was no longer viable to use Cardano as the backbone of emancipatory social media? Of course it would. And then, we'd be really glad that we'd just spent all these years building scaling solutions for Cardano. Just a thought experiment. I'll keep carrying this around as I learn how to build on Midnight.
I hope my life's work will be to make or contribute to a meaningful rise in the global floor and median quality of life. I believe the best way to do this is for the world to build social institutions on top of transparent, efficient, tamper proof ledgers that reduce bureaucracy, exploitation, and waste. I believe the second best way to do this is to build up access to finance, passive income, and financial literacy for as many people as possible. That's why I'm in software. That's why I'm in crypto. That's why I'm on Cardano. And that's why I've built up Sundae Labs as the software company it is. Every day, and nearly everything I do, is geared towards this. It's why my salary is substantially lower than I could make literally anywhere else, lower than the job I left, and exactly the median salary of what my team makes. It's why my net worth (excluding the completely illiquid value of my equity in Sundae Labs) has been flat or slightly declining since I started this journey. It's why I've largely soldiered through death threats and some of the most toxic hateful bile you can imagine. But spending time on Twitter, where I've often enjoyed connecting with an audience, has become a threat to that mission. It's clear that I'm not going to solve the problems I see in the world through Twitter discourse. For a long time I thought it might help: engage in good faith to share my perspectives, break down what I know so others can understand in the hopes that it contributes to their ability to navigate the technological changes that are coming, and serve as the best example I can for effective and thoughtful discourse. But instead, especially lately, it has simply become a drain on my energy and motivation. Even if I engage less, just *reading* the way we treat each other is demoralizing. Even people who I believe have good intentions can't help but contribute to a storm of negativity that is fighting to sweep us out to sea. There is a mob that is so frustrated by the state of the world and the very problems me and other builders are trying to solve that they can't help but funnel that discontent into a... miasma, directed at anything and everything around them. Somehow posts that are "just asking questions" and would, in any other environment be totally welcome, end up as weapons picked up off the bloody ground to be hurled in anger at an unintended target. Somehow close friends grow so embittered with each other they'd rather tear the thing they both believed in in half to spite the other. Somehow legitimate mistakes immediately get brandished as fraud because scorched earth total-war tactics to destroy someone we dislike become the only thing that can hold our attention, the only thing we can think to do in our ineffectiveness against a cruel and difficult world. Somehow some of the kindest and most like-minded builders have their patience ground to dust until they reach their breaking point and they lash out in ways that don't reflect who they are. We're all so fucking tense, or sick to our stomach, or caught up in the sound of our own voice, that it's impossible for us to take a beat and sort out a misunderstanding in DMs before making some public fucking tabloid accusation or insult on the timeline. And again, I don't think (would like to believe, as a fundamentally optimistic person) that most of this is in bad faith. But the medium leaves no other outcome for us. So, for me, Twitter is no longer just a waste of time, it's an active threat to my goals. It's a long drag on a cigarette taken between work calls that no longer even brings me comfort, it's just the thing I do, and it's slowly giving us all cancer. It saps my energy, ruins my mood, and makes me, on darker days, doubt whether any of this is even worth it, let alone possible. I don't want my life's work to amount to being unhappy and resentful of the people I'm trying to help (yes, even if you and I have disagreements, even if we hate each other, I want better for you too). So, I will be trying the nicotine patches yet again. Since there's no "Non Smoking" section of Twitter, I will be dramatically reducing the time I spend on here, and funneling that energy into other, more productive channels. I hope to write more for my blog, 314pool.com. Perhaps I'll get back into live-streaming some of my work on Twitch. If you want to stay in touch and we're not connected elsewhere, the best way is by email. It's just my first name at sundae.fi. (Yes, I know this isn't an airport, and I don't have to announce my departure. I considered just disappearing, as this feels a little bit melodramatic. But in the end, I wanted people to know why I've gone quiet, and how to reach me.) I hope I'm not alone in noticing this trend, especially within our community. If any of this resonates with you, it might be worth looking at what the timeline is accomplishing (or not) for you. And don't worry. Recent weeks have been harder than most, as I'm sure you've all seen on the timeline, but I'm made of tougher stuff. I'll still be here and building, and you'll still see the impact of the work that my team and I do (and boy do they have some exciting things for you soon). I just really really don't think Twitter is the right place for me to fix the problems I want to fix.

Our team have contributed to this repo, and now working to bring this to market via @utxos_dev If you want to use launch CIP113 tokens, follow @utxos_dev for updates.
Cardano just got programmable tokens at scale. With CIP-0113, token issuers now have a standard to enforce compliance logic directly to native Cardano assets. The framework is modular, open source, and live on the Preview testnet. Learn more: cardanofoundation.org/blog/p…

Welcome to Nomos 🫡 Cardano's governance is genuinely impressive. But right now? It's a mess to navigate. Proposals buried in PDFs. Rationales scattered across forums. And submitting a governance action costs 100K ADA upfront — meaning most people are locked out before they even start. We thought that was worth fixing. WHAT IS NOMOS? Nomos is an open-source governance platform for Cardano. Free. Customisable. Built to stay that way. Our first product is CGOV — live now at app.cgov.io. It pulls everything governance-related into one place so you actually know what's happening on-chain. No wallet needed. No account. Just open it. WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY → Browse every active governance action → Track live votes, thresholds & deadlines → Read how DReps, SPOs & CC members voted and why → See voting power visualised across voters → Download full proposal data as JSON, CSV or MD WHO BUILT THIS? @MeshSDK and @SIDAN_Lab. We crossed paths at the Cardano Summit in Berlin, stayed a few extra days, and hacked the first version together. That was November 2025. Two months later, here we are. Everything is Apache 2.0. Governance tooling shouldn't sit behind a paywall or depend on one team to keep the lights on. Fork it. Build on it. Make it yours. WHAT'S COMING → Vote on-chain directly from cgov.io (wallet connect) → Submit governance actions — with community crowdfunding for the deposit → Custom analytics dashboards you can share or import → Proposal Forums, CGOV API, Governance MCPs & more Nomos is just getting started. CGOV is the first chapter. If you care about Cardano governance — or you're still trying to figure out what it even is — stick around. That's exactly who this is for. 🔔 Follow for weekly governance updates, proposal breakdowns & product news. Cardano governance, simplified. app.cgov.io | github.com/nomos-guild ONE LAST THING 🔹We've been heads down building — but we want to hear from you. 🔹What's actually broken about Cardano governance for you right now? 🔹What made you give up halfway 🔹What would make you come back? 🔹Drop it in the comments. No filter needed. 🔹We read everything. The good ideas end up in the product.

If you want funding from the Cardano Treasury, you need to present a cost-benefit analysis showing why your proposal is the most effective way to achieve its goals. We need to see a specific problem measured by concrete data. Amateur hour is over.

It's worth noting that @circle and @DefiLlama report our $USDCx as USDC. You see this with #Cardano being #39th for total $USDC minted supply. They make no distinction between the two, and neither should we in our understanding and messaging of this. Let's get to the top 20! $ADA

The event wrapped up, and I finally have a moment to reflect. Huge thanks to our hosting partners @Cardano_CF @awscloud , @RareEvo Amplify Cardano, @vesprwallet @SundialProtocol, @meshsdk , @PropBid_hk , @DeltaDeFi and plus everyone supporting behind the scenes. Special thanks to @JeremyFirsterCF @ChrisJoannou__, @giozzi @indi_gital , @Josi_sndnc , @DenicioBernier this simply wouldn’t have been possible without you. Honestly, I didn’t realize how hard the first run would be — especially the livestream and overall flow. We spent a lot of late nights testing audio, camera, transitions, and backup plans. And since this was the first time we livestreamed an entire event via the @Cardano X account, we definitely couldn’t “just wing it. Legend @damiantywong stayed at my place for 4–5 nights, helping test the setup, and Denicio put in a ton of extra hours to make sure everything finally clicked. Seeing it all come together on event night honestly felt unreal. Hope this makes it easier for more Cardano community events in other regions to go online and connect globally. Loved seeing both familiar friends and new faces (business owners + students). @sidan_lab 's years of building in Hong Kong are starting to pay off. More stories to come. TLDR: Welcome to Cardano! ₳
ICYMI: Cardano Venture Hub Presents: Web3 Founders Night, a side event during Consensus HK 2026, organized by @sidan_lab in collaboration with @Cardano_CF and @awscloud. Been playing around with CGOV lately and it's actually pretty slick. Makes it super easy to check out proposals, follow votes or see people's reasoning. Plus it's all open source. So if you're into Cardano governance, worth taking a look. And remember: We are the CEO now!
