The engines may roar, but they cannot drown out poverty. Kagame’s Grand Prix gamble puts his global image ahead of Rwandans’ daily struggles. Families need food, jobs, schools, and healthcare. Their hardship should never be the price of his prestige. The spotlight is his. Who carries the cost? rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…

KABILA IS THE NEW FACE. KAGAME REMAINS THE ARCHITECT. AFC-M23 gets a new banner: FRN. Our article argues that Kabila’s elevation gives Kagame’s war machine Congolese cover. Changing the name cannot erase Kigali’s responsibility for the war. rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…

THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL They financed the RPF, sustained its war and helped Kagame seize power. Their reward? Exile, confiscated fortunes, poverty and persecution. Kagame did not merely betray these Tutsi tycoons—he devoured the very people who made him. rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…

REVOLUSIYO YARIYE ABANA BAYO — THE REVOLUTION DEVOURED ITS OWN CHILDREN. On October 1, 1990, the RPF/RPA launched an armed struggle that would change Rwanda forever. Gen. Fred Gisa Rwigyema led that struggle and died at its very beginning. Around that revolution were soldiers, political cadres, supporters and financiers who committed themselves to a cause and to the dream of a free, democratic and prosperous Rwanda. The war was eventually won. Power was captured. But the promise of a free, democratic and prosperous Rwanda was not fulfilled. Something precious was lost along the way: the dream for which so many had sacrificed. And today, we ask a painful question: What became of the men and women who helped build, finance, support and fight for that revolution? Today, the Rwanda National Congress (RNC) launches REVOLUSIYO YARIYE ABANA BAYO, an ongoing documentation project focused specifically on those who were part of, supported, financed or fought for the revolutionary movement that began on October 1, 1990. This project is not intended to document every victim of the Kagame government. Its focus is deliberately specific: the children of that revolution itself—and what became of them. We begin with those we document as having been killed. Other walls will follow: those imprisoned, those driven into exile, and those silenced or impoverished at home. Behind every name is a human being. Behind every name is a family. Behind every name is a piece of Rwanda’s history. This wall is only the beginning. The Rwanda National Congress will continue documenting and preserving these names and stories so that they are never erased from Rwanda’s history. We remember. We document. We will continue to document. And when future generations ask what became of the children of that revolution, their names and their stories will still be here.

FROM RNC LEADER TO KAGAME’S UN MOUTHPIECE Justin Nsengiyumva rose through the RNC as an opposition leader. At the UN, he delivered Kagame’s message as Rwanda’s prime minister. KAGAME HIDES—HIS FOREIGN ENABLERS TAKE THE STAGE With international scrutiny mounting, Paul Kagame skipped New York and sent Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva instead—flanked by Marc Holtzman and Cherie Blair. The strongman stayed home. His Western cheerleaders reported for duty. Read the full analysis ⤵️⤵️ rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…

🚀 RWANDA IS GOING TO SPACE! Never mind that the country still has no railway connecting it to Mombasa or Dar es Salaam. Why build tracks to the ocean when Kagame can build a highway to Mars? Before orbit, perhaps try the railway. Read “Lost in Space” ⤵️⤵️ rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…

Yesterday, I finally sat down and watched all the videos and written tributes I can find to Tom… I decided that in my lingering grief I should add a bit more because I did not hear anyone discuss Tom’s health and wrestling with God. I sense those stories should be told and remembered - What I Would Have Said If I Had Been at Tom Byabagamba’s Funeral davejenkins394305.substack.c…

Hello @Mwijukyeivan – we saw that post and the questions it raised, and we do not agree with the ethnic extremism expressed. One can have their opinion about Rwanda, but they should not misrepresent Rwandans or associate us with that kind of thinking. If the post was about Uganda, it should be kept Ugandan and not drag us into it. As you rightly point out, Rwanda does not subscribe to ethnic extremism, we have worked hard to leave this behind us. We do not need it and do not want it. Our national vision and efforts in the last 32 years have been about uniting Rwandans, and we will continue to safeguard this fundamental political choice.

The IMF’s 2026 economic rankings expose a reality that no public relations campaign can erase. After more than three decades under President Paul Kagame’s rule, Rwanda ranks 199th out of 218 countries in GDP per capita, at just $1,198, placing it at the bottom of the East African region behind Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. For years, the world has been told the story of an “African success.” Yet the latest IMF figures tell a different story—one in which ordinary Rwandans continue to struggle with low incomes, limited economic opportunity, and persistent poverty. Economic transformation cannot be measured by impressive conferences, modern buildings, or international praise alone. It must be measured by whether citizens can earn a decent living, educate their children, afford healthcare, and build a secure future. Rwanda deserves leadership that is accountable to its people, welcomes independent institutions, encourages genuine economic freedom, and creates an environment where prosperity is shared rather than concentrated. Sustainable development is built on transparency, opportunity, and public trust—not image management. Read the Rwanda National Congress (RNC) statement on what these IMF rankings mean for Rwanda’s future. @UrugwiroVillage @PaulKagame @onduhungirehe @FelixMugenzi

Rwanda cannot borrow its way to prosperity while spending millions on football sponsorships abroad. At a time of rising public debt, a struggling tourism sector, and urgent domestic needs, the Kagame regime’s reported commitment of up to US$78 million for an Aston Villa sponsorship raises serious questions about national priorities. Those resources should be invested in jobs, education, healthcare, tourism development, and economic growth that benefits all Rwandans—not prestige projects overseas. Read the full RNC statement below. #Rwanda #VisitRwanda #AstonVilla #Governance #PublicFinance #Tourism #Accountability #EconomicDevelopment #HumanRights #RNC

A government that loses confidence in its own people ultimately weakens the nation it claims to serve. Rwanda’s institutions should be led by qualified Rwandans, not increasingly entrusted to foreign nationals. National sovereignty is strengthened by investing in local leadership, not by sidelining it. President Kagame is presenting himself as a global AI leader at the United Nations. But true AI leadership begins with investing in people. With only 6.9% of households owning a computer, 15.6% computer literacy among youth, and 91.2% of workers in the informal sector, Rwanda’s digital reality tells a different story. Leadership starts at home—not on the global stage. Read our full statement. #Rwanda #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #DigitalTransformation #UnitedNations #Governance #HumanCapital #RNC

While many of us in DC voiced our doubts, including the government of the #DRC, which made it clear that @PaulKagame is a war criminal who cannot be trusted to keep his word, President @realDonaldTrump, a man of peace and a true champion of ending the war, believed in giving #Kagame a chance. Kagame has now spat in the eye of my President @realDonaldTrump and has made a mockery of my country, the United States. The time for talking is over, the time for Kagame to go is now. We cannot appease a man who talks tough on stage but is, in reality, a coward—as #Kagame proved when he hid behind his wife’s skirt after this firm prevented him from attending the Congressional Prayer Breakfast. If you are a pro-democracy activist in Rwanda, call us. We want to talk to you. #KagameMustGo @RwandaInUSA
