There isn’t a shortage of high quality editors, there’s a shortage of high quality clients. I’ve seen a few posts talking about a bottleneck in hiring reliable, experienced and (most importantly) good editors. What these people miss out is that if you’re wanting high standards, you need to pay higher. 9/10 times if you hire a cheap editor you’re going to get a shit result, poor communication and someone who’s unreliable. If you want a good editor, be prepared to compensate them greatly.
