I’m pleased to share that @usefinal will be the initial developers of the Final network, a new cooperative system that can immediately resolve any future outcome. For more, read this post from @dannymccb: xitter.gq/finalityfdn/status/211…
Introducing Finality By now it’s obvious that agents and autonomous workflows are the future of the global social fabric. Agents, however, are not humans, and they need different types of assurances in order to go about their work. At the heart of every valuable decision is the question of uncertainty. As humans, we externalize that uncertainty by paying for it – through insurance, lending, arbitration, etc. – or simply waiting, as we have for millennia. It’s worked okay so far, for humans. But not for agents. Agents need guaranteed outcomes. They need finality in order to present their humans with a guaranteed outcome, to stack a set of dependencies in sequence, and to move forward with making valuable decisions at machine speed. @finalityfdn is a nonprofit foundation I am forming to direct research on finality, advise on related policy, and invest in projects that improve the efficiency of autonomous money movement. The first of these projects is the Final network, a new cooperative system that can immediately resolve any future outcome. We have recently reached an agreement in principle for @usefinal to begin the development of this new protocol. More details about this project will be shared in the coming weeks. I truly believe that the upcoming era will enable all kinds of benefits and abundance for humans. Finality is how we make sure it doesn’t fall apart.

The growth of RWAs onchain is only part of the opportunity. As more of an asset’s lifecycle moves onchain, that value becomes easier to integrate into broader financial activity. The next phase is not just more assets onchain, but more ways to put them to work.
RWAs onchain are scaling and maturing together. Our Tokenization Progress Index (TPI) scores how much of an asset's lifecycle has actually moved onchain. Stablecoins sit furthest along both dimensions: large market value and higher TPI. Tokenized Stocks show relatively high onchain maturity, while market size remains smaller. Meanwhile, Treasuries, Commodities, and Private Credit have reached larger market sizes but still sit in lower-to-middle TPI bands. The rest of the asset classes remain early and primitive. For the full TPI methodology and a deeper look at the sector, read our Q1 2026 tokenization report: panteracapital.com/state-of-…

Bringing Institutional Finance On-chain is the mission. Great interview with @m_at_anvil & @zempcapital - Thank you @BlockHashPod
Ep. 784 Anvil | Bringing Institutional Finance Onchain (feat. Maximillian Schwartz) — — — For episode 784 of the BlockHash Podcast, host Brandon Zemp is joined by @m_at_anvil, the CEO of @anvil_xyz to discuss the evolution of decentralized finance and the infrastructure needed to bring institutional financial products onto the blockchain. Throughout the episode, Brandon and Maximillian explore how Anvil is building infrastructure for collateralized financial agreements, the role of smart contracts in modernizing traditional finance, and the growing demand for secure and efficient onchain financial services. They also discuss Anvil's approach to institutional adoption, the importance of capital efficiency and risk management in DeFi, and how blockchain technology could reshape the way financial institutions manage collateral, liquidity, and financial agreements. 🔗 Spotify: tinyurl.com/2tr5svv4 🔗 Apple Podcasts: tinyurl.com/2btuxk75 🔗 Amazon Music: tinyurl.com/5n7tx6mk 🔗 YouTube: tinyurl.com/84cy653s ⏳ Timestamps: (5:14) How Anvil approaches bring collateral onto blockchain (13:30) Problems with Buy Now Pay Later (25:38) Institutional-ready SDK (30:06) Governance token holders of Anvil (32:52) Institutional adoption and future of Anvil (37:48) Agentic AI economy (40:30) Anvil website and contact #BlockHashPodcast #anvil #collateral #blockchain #agenticai #crypto #podcast #money2020

One of the biggest takeaways from @money2020: Traditional financial companies are eager to adopt crypto, but integrating it into existing operations remains a major hurdle. Adopting blockchain shouldn't mean retraining entire teams. @m_at_anvil joins @zempcapital on @BlockHashPod to break down how Anvil is removing those barriers with enterprise-ready infrastructure that makes digital asset collateral accessible to businesses, without requiring blockchain expertise ↓

Everyone who said they were waiting on $ANVL liquidity got their wish. It’s extremely deep and concentrated right now on Uniswap. You can make large purchases without moving the price and very little slippage compared to what we were seeing

67 million is a drop in the bucket. What happens when it's 200m plus and everyone wants their digital assets to be more productive? Really great insights with @NatCryptoAssoc & @anvil_xyz
67 million Americans currently own crypto. According to @NatCryptoAssoc, they're not just engineers & traders, but construction workers, business owners, & everyday consumers. Yet much of that wealth remains disconnected from traditional financial services. Asset holders shouldn't have to liquidate their positions to secure financial commitments. It's time digital asset ownership translated into real financial flexibility.

If you genuinely intend to accumulate then be careful what you ask for. As of right now there’s no indication we have a professional market maker which is something we need to get listed on top CEXs. If we do get one there’s a high likelihood they’ll run the price up especially if they can coordinate it with news like a big integration. You may be able to make higher-dollar-value buys with deeper liquidity but you’ll end up getting less tokens than if you just eat some slippage now because everything will cost drastically more later.

France once turned land-backed debt into everyday money, and it ended disastrously. In 1789, the revolutionary government created assignats: interest-bearing certificates backed by state lands, including property confiscated from the Church. The plan was for people to use them to buy that land, after which the government would retire the certificates. But in 1790, assignats became legal tender, and their interest payments were eventually eliminated. What began as something resembling a bond had become money. War and collapsing public finances undermined the arrangement. The government increasingly relied on issuing money without sufficient alternative revenue, and France suffered hyperinflation in 1795–1796. Banque de France’s historical analysis emphasizes that fiscal breakdown, not simply the existence of paper money, drove the disaster. The lesson: “backed by real assets” isn’t enough. You also need credible rules governing how claims are redeemed and how many can be issued.

In 1963, lenders discovered that their collateral was mostly water. Anthony “Tino” DeAngelis ran Allied Crude Vegetable Oil Refining. His business borrowed against warehouse receipts, documents representing stored vegetable oil, and used financing to support large commodity-futures bets. But much of the oil on the paperwork didn’t exist. One trick involved tanks filled with water and a thin layer of soybean oil floating on top. After Allied filed for bankruptcy, an American Express warehousing subsidiary discovered the scale of the problem. A later federal court opinion reported that it had issued $100 million in receipts to Allied, but found only about $6 million worth of actual vegetable oil. The receipts looked like evidence of valuable assets. Their reliability depended on someone actually verifying what was inside those tanks. Collateral doesn’t eliminate trust. It shifts trust toward whoever proves the asset exists, controls it, and confirms it hasn’t been pledged elsewhere. Better paperwork cannot fix nonexistent backing.
