🚀 From CIVIL ENGINEERING to DEVOPS ENGINEER (Remote) I’m super excited to share a big milestone in my journey — I recently landed my first job as a DevOps Engineer (yes, fully remote 🎉). Coming from a civil engineering background, this moment feels surreal, and I hope sharing my story helps someone out there who’s trying to switch into tech. My journey started around 2.5 years ago, when I decided to take a leap and transition into tech. I had no idea where to begin until one day, my friend Dinesh Solanki (who's a DevOps Engineer himself) told me go for DevOps, “Start with Linux, I’ll help you along the way.” And that one piece of advice kickstarted everything. While learning Linux, I stumbled upon @kunalstwt ’s DevOps Bootcamp. That was a game-changer! It wasn’t just about technical stuff — it introduced me to the idea of learning in public, writing blogs, sharing what I learned, joining communities, attending meetups and conferences. Slowly, I started building proof of work, and most importantly — confidence. Big shoutout to Kunal for showing me a whole new world. 🙌 Along the way, I learned from so many amazing folks like @TrainWitShubham , @Njuchi_ ,@SaiyamPathak , @techie_piyush , @AbhiVeeramalla , and Nasiullha Chaudhari — your content made things so much easier. Thank you! I also had the chance to connect with inspiring mentors like @birthmarkbart , @savinderpuri , and Gurumoorthy Raghupathy, who always guided me when I had questions. Through learning in public, I met @akshayktwt , and we even started a community together — learned so much from him and so many others along the way. Shoutout to my wonderful people who supported me and made this journey special: @palak_bhawsar , Ravi Shankar Raj, @manishtyagi__ , Sandhya Singh, @ankiit111 , @VopsAbhii , @saumya_bhushan , Aman Kumar, @harsh_dev8086 , and many more! Also, a big thanks to @eddiejaoude and @juliafmorgado — your posts and content inspired me more than you know. Of course, this journey wasn’t always easy — there were a lot of ups and downs, moments of doubt, and roadblocks. But I’ve genuinely enjoyed every step of it. 💙 This is just the beginning. I’ll keep learning, growing, and sharing my experiences in the hope it helps others on their journey too. If you’re trying to make a switch to tech — keep going, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. You got this! 💪 #DevOps #CareerSwitch #LearningInPublic #FirstJob #Grateful #Community #TechJourney
