See Through the Noise Given market volatility, which is, of course, uncertainty, I want to articulate a view that is strongly held and informs positioning. This is not the time to make heroic bets, but volatility is opportunity to put cash to work and reset portfolios, because the market is telling us something about the future. If you believe stocks discount the future somewhat rationally, you have to listen to the market and incorporate that into your thesis. What I see happening is this: post-election, the market expects data center construction to slow. Post the memory/ bottlenecks fallout that began June 2026, the market says bottleneck supply will come, model efficiency will reduce DRAM demand, and capital markets put compute supply, and therefore bottleneck demand, at risk. Put those two together, the election result and the bottleneck crunch, view them in context, and the market is being extremely rational right now. A Rational Market First, hyperscalers are holding up fine. They have installed compute. They can raise token prices. All else equal, token supply will be less than it would have been without the election results. That means they have a little more pricing power on tokens and the optionality to deploy capital rationally. In other words, the quantity of compute supply will be less, all else equal, so there's less competitive threat of others taking share. The net result is that hyperscalers should be much better free cash flow vehicles over the next 2 to 3 years than they would have been otherwise. That's why the hyperscalers, Amazon and Microsoft being the purest, are doing quite well. Meta is also holding in, with high optionality to monetize its compute into this market. Google is a little hard to read because of last quarter's search numbers, but aside from that earnings move, Google's been fine as well. Second, the market is rational about OpenAI and Anthropic concerns. This is reflected in OpenAI first reducing its capital raise and then falling short even at a lower valuation, after it had already pushed its IPO to next year. And Anthropic is tenuously coming to market for its IPO now, but all indications suggest it will be a weak IPO, with pre-money valuations being talked down. Third are the raw GPU clouds and time to power plays. These companies provide supply and take construction and financing risk for the benefit of the most capital-sensitive buyers of tokens, meaning the frontier labs and the largest venture-backed companies not requiring value-add software. There's a lot of uncertainty in their financing, their pipelines, and now their offtake because of item two above. Forward I outlined three material and rationale aspects of current market but what does this mean going forward? First, the bottleneck names are clearly uncertain. It's hard to step into memory, storage, photonics etc. Even hard to step into GPUs and ASICs, because in truth, it's hard to forecast earnings even 2 to 3 years out. There are just too many variables in the equation, including data center build potential but also capital availability. For me, the bottlenecks are a no-fly zone. On the hyperscalers, this may be the most attractive opportunity from a risk-reward perspective, while also potentially providing mid to high double-digit returns. You're not going to double your money on a short horizon, but against a backdrop of massive uncertainty in the technology space, the hyperscalers feel like sleep-at-night holdings and there will be volatility so underwrite your capacity.

For the neoclouds, only two will make it through: Nebius and Oracle. Oracle has about 1 million H100 equivalents, and Nebius has about 500,000. They both have real go-to-market strategies. They're able to generate rents, they're able to deliver supply, and their capital structures are stable. Every other neocloud, raw GPU cloud, and crypto miner time-to-power play is, in my opinion, untouchable. They will get rolled up. The market may not pay for the enterprise value of those compute owners, but buyers will pick off assets as these capital-structure-unstable owners need to generate liquidity by monetizing contracts and good assets, whether early-stage but high-probability permitted construction or later-stage pipeline. Token layer So what does this all mean for tokenomics? Before the election, token demand had clearly been growing, but with share shifting to open-source models. Post-election, assuming that trend continues, the frontier labs actually have a bit more pricing power. If the assumption, all else equal, is that there will be less token supply due to less data center construction, then they ought to be able to raise token prices. Open-source models, of course, then have even more pricing power, because the price gap between them and the frontier, all else equal, is widening. At the same time, if the frontier labs aren't able to source as much internal compute, and the raw GPU providers are unable to complete construction, more token demand should flow to the hyperscalers, Oracle, and Nebius, with their greater supply of H100 equivalents. Obviously, the biggest question affecting all of this is token demand: the quantity of tokens demanded and the price of tokens. I'm not opining on whether quantity demanded is shifting due to recent events, but I would say venture capital funding of token buyers is at risk in the tail. I don't think we're there, but it is a major tail risk. On the flip side, the Palantir call shows that enterprise demand is extremely strong. They signed 200 contracts in the quarter with value over $1 million and Commercial revenue now exceeds Government revenue for the first time. Clearly, enterprise adoption of tokens is growing. This quarter's productivity number, released today at 3.6%, was extremely positive. In a tight labor market, that can really only be due to technology-driven efficiency. So the value proposition of AI tokens seems to be there and therefore token quantity demand is in good shape.

$meta will do great in this environment new top 4 all benefit from tighter compute supply dynamics 1. (ashamed) 2. Amazon 3. Meta 4. Nebius
Meta’s Dina Powell McCormick says building new U.S. data centers will get harder after the midterms. She also described a governor-elect who made data centers a major campaign issue already asking Meta to meet after inauguration. According to McCormick, the governor said: “We don’t want to lose this investment in our town. We don’t want these jobs to go elsewhere.” She didn’t identify the governor, but the invitation suggests some willingness to find terms that preserve the investment and local jobs. McCormick also expects expanding existing campuses to be easier, because communities have already experienced the benefits, while new projects face greater scrutiny.

Spot pricing for preemptible VMs no longer has a price ceiling. Starting today, the price can exceed the on-demand rate. Track live prices on the website or via the open API: nebius.com/spot-prices

we are now in the future $nvda / nemotron / datacenter network THE INFORMATION: - NVIDIA HAS APPROACHED APOLLO ABOUT CREATING A NETWORK OF SMALL AI DATA CENTERS POTENTIALLY SPANNING 20 STATES ACROSS THE US - NVIDIA IS EXPLORING RETROFITTING OLD TELECOM BUILDINGS FOR AI DATA CENTERS
Replying to @institLP
This is VERY negative for OpenAI and NVIDIA. NVIDIA is having downstream issues with $CRWV and now $ORCL, which are in turn having upstream issues with Related and $CORZ NVIDIA has no choice but to build or buy a datacenter platform and compete directly with $GOOG $NBIS

nasdaq -5%, can def go lower and vix at 25 is kinda meh but $smh and ai names are getting plowed absolute emotional panic my central case in the moment is: Anthropic and OpenAI drop capex exchange decorations and take down bottlenecks and raw gpu clouds with it Hyperscalers more profitable and greater competitive flexibility to invest rationally and slowly Token prices higher Did a greedy and possibly stupid thing. Sold some of something and used some cash to add to a cloud company. Into the valley of the shadow of death we go

$meta is incredibly well positioned for this environment

have to assume ant pulls ipo, does a small private raise, ala openai. right? downsize compute expectations. this is bearish all bottlenecks -- power, land, shell, xpu, memory, storage -- only two things it's bullish are installed compute, highly probably pipeline compute, and capital. the invisible hand is a beautiful thing. we had to sacrifice oai and ant's investors in order to move on

$acmr earnings on the morn
ACMR “ECP” segment includes equipment for panel-level packaging and grew 204% YoY (!!) to represent 36% (!!) of company revenue. That’s the kind of growth and materiality that shifts narrative and multiples. $acmr $amat

dude is so self-centered in all his “freedom”, pursuit of “happiness” and “work” he has acquired no wisdom at all so sad kids are total joy no matter their health, intelligence or attitudes. you pour love into them and grow in love it’s unreal Seth won’t ever understand this. poor dude.
Seth Rogen says he and his wife are now more grateful than ever that they decided not to have children he’s not afraid to explain why. He admits they used to question whether they’d made the right decision, but now their conversations have shifted to, “Honestly, thank God we don’t have children.” His reasoning? They’re in the prime of their lives, understand themselves better than ever, and have the freedom to pursue their careers, enjoy life, and build the kind of relationship they’ve always wanted. But Seth took it a step further, saying he sees people with children struggling to find the same time for work and personal enjoyment that he and his wife have. “I seem to get a lot more active enjoyment out of not having kids than anyone I know seems to get out of having kids.” That statement will probably divide people. Some see raising children as life’s greatest joy, while others believe a fulfilling life doesn’t have to include parenthood. Do you think Seth has a point, or is there a kind of happiness you can only understand after having children?

lots of mispricing in the mag 7. $amzn and $nvda look cheap if LTEG is accurate. market doesn't believe (or can't bring enough capital). would say market cap is a limiter to effectively pricing the names, or the ETF flows distort idiosyncratic pricing... then again market seems to effectively price $aapl kind of bulled up for $amzn this week
