The conference 'The Interdisciplinary Challenges in Non-equilibrium Physics' was fantastic! Organized by @PoLDresden and @mpi_pks, it took place last week in Dresden. Congratulations to all involved! 🙌
And it's a wrap!!! Thanks to @mpi_pks @PoLDresden @PoL @softmatter for the support, to all speakers and participants for an amazing time and fantastic atmosphere, to Agnese and Elena for joining us as Phys Rev editors! You will here soon from next year's organizing committee!

Lucky to be your advisor. Congrats Lisa!
And now we announce @softmatter poster and environmental prize, introduced by 2023 Reviewer of the year Lorenzo Caprini: Lisa Schick (experiment) and Yonatahn Sarmiento (theory), while Birte Christine Geerds (several trains from Geneve to Dresden!) wins the environmental prize!

Thank you @intcha24 and @softmatter for honoring our work on Decision-making in slime molds with the experimental poster prize. Discussing our research in this super relaxed atmosphere was super fun 🤩

@chall2023 has been a GREAT conference. Excellent organisation, brilliant talks and posters, splendid location (Rome! ❤️) and top-notch scientific and human interactions.
Kudos to the organisers for putting together this event, we're looking forward for the next instalment!
The interdisciplinary week has come to an end! The organizers would like to thank all the attendees, invited speakers volunteers, and staff of the venue. This was scientifically and socially revivifying. Looking forward to the next edition of #InterChall2023

Tomorrow, as an invited speaker @chall2023 #Rome, I show when self-will hinders group consensus & how undecided individuals are able to restore collective agreement. Our analysis helps explain why inhibitory signals are widespread in biological systems.

If you are interested in a generic phase-space description of active particles that will enable accurate implementation of multiplicative noise (i.e. spatial modulation of the strength of noise or fluctuations) this recent work might be something you'd like to look up.
