No Hindu candidate was elected at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in India. Garv Upadhay, Atul Yadav, and Ayushi Chaudhary contested the Student Union elections, but not one of the three managed to secure a seat among the 10 cabinet positions.
We are the same Qaum that celebrates when Muslims win elections in non-Muslim-majority constituencies, yet the reverse seems almost impossible!

A moment of immense pride for India!
The inclusion of Rājataraṅgiṇī, Mahābhārata and Arthaśāstra in @UNESCO Memory of the World Asia-Pacific Regional Register is a landmark recognition of India’s extraordinary documentary and civilisational heritage.
These timeless works embody our rich traditions of historical inquiry, philosophical thought and statecraft, whose wisdom continues to inspire humanity.
Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, India’s civilisational legacy is receiving unprecedented global recognition and its rightful place on the world stage.
Tired of 6 months of weekly reshuffle speculation by some champus, Economist says PM not serious about refreshing his govt🤣
Without a strong rival party or challenger within the BJP, India’s prime minister shows no serious sign of refreshing his government. That is a shame. The country needs bolder thinking if it is to thrive economist.com/leaders/2026/1…

Delhi has started to choke again! Every year Delhi becomes unbreathable and transport is a major cause in this #AirPollution crisis. Unlike stubble burning or firecrackers, it doesn’t stop with the season.
But Delhi has a hope; Delhi has an excellent #EV Policy. From 2027, only electric 3W & mini-trucks can be registered; from 2028, only electric 2W. But air pollution doesn't follow borders. Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad & Ghaziabad will still face the brunt.
The Delhi EV policy must be extended to all NCR states NOW!
And freight must go electric too. BS-VI is not enough. Every day, 17,000+ heavy trucks enter Delhi & are responsible for more than 61% transport emissions at night.
Diesel and CNG trucks are choking the capital. Every truck entering Delhi must be electric, backed by charging & battery swapping at entry points.

Markets remind of that college friend who would drink when you are happy, would drink when you are sad, would drink when you get hooked, would drink when you break up ... Markets were up when Trump won, markets are up when Trump has lost... #MarketNoSanedo

Let me ask you…
If India’s Metro network had continued expanding at the pace it did before 2014, how long would the wait be for cities like Pune to have a metro?
YEARS….no…DECADES perhaps.
And that was UNACCEPTABLE.
In 2014, India had just 248 km of Metro lines across 5 cities.
Today, we have nearly 1,200 km across 26 cities.
Over 1 crore people travel by Metro every day.
The impact goes beyond statistics or numbers.
It means less time in traffic, more family time, greater productivity and better opportunities.
This is the transformation we are working towards for urban India!
What makes Pune Metro's new Pink Line so special?
23 km connecting Hinjewadi's IT hub with Shivajinagar.
Operated by women.
Almost a third of the electricity needs planned from solar energy.
Tomorrow, this Rs. 8,300 crore infra enhancement will be inaugurated!
A significant boost to 'Ease of Living' for Pune!

One important takeaway. The Blue Wave in U.S mid terms proves the wisdom of Indian leadership in doing a quickie with #OperationSindoor last year, even if the national sentiment was Ye Dil Mange More. Good generals win wars. Great generals know which ones to pick. Good leadership knows which wars to pick. A great leadership knows when to end it. The Modi government ticked the right boxes...
Hello India, relax. Trump losing is not India winning. Just as his winning was not India losing. Similarly democrats winning is not India winning. It's American democratic system of checks and balances at play. At peak popularity Obama faced Republican majority in both the houses of the U.S Congress. Similarly, Bush faced Democrats controlled Congress.
We have to stay the course on what works best for us. There would be spin offs for us, like for the rest of the world, hopefully beginning with West Asia...

Sharp introspection by the vice president of the United States after Wednesday Washout of Republicans
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

A significant milestone in the history of CRPF - 12 consecutive months (One Year) have passed without any Operational fatality in the force, the last operational fatality in the force being on Oct 30th 2025. This has happened after 47 Years (last such period ended in January 1979).
Provision of latest & contemporary hardware, better training & strategic planning along with focus on post incident response including high speed evacuation of injured personnel to secondary and tertiary medical facilities has contributed immensely in achieving this milestone. It’s specially significant since this has happened while we continue to be deployed and engage intensely in all the major operational theatres achieving significant breakthrough results.
We remain committed to keep the country peaceful & safe for all its citizens.
