I saw a DEI hire this afternoon in Calgary.
Two cops were walking towards me. One was on horseback, and the other was leading her horse on foot.
I made a joke: "Aren't you supposed to ride the horse".
She didn't laugh. Then I saw why. She walked the horse up to this banister, and used the platform to get back in the saddle. She couldn't be more than 5'-2" tall.
I should have taken a picture of her. We were right across from the crack head park at the 8th Street W station.

While I appreciate your deep dive into the workings of the EU, I’m afraid they don’t need to formalize anything.
A treaty on digital cooperation here, another one on carbon related matters there, and next thing you know we’re in a de facto membership situation by simply walking in lockstep with them.
From there, every subsequent legislative alignment with the EU’s will be justified so we can maintain access to the European market.
So even if we maintain our “sovereignty” in theory, we’ll be espousing their authoritarian climate agenda in practice.
I don’t know about you but Fortress America with a US/Mexico opt-out on Canada engaging with non-market economies sounds way less intrusive.
But we all know this isn’t about sovereignty, don’t we?
