We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

“Rumored to be her brother.” Okay, well I’m now starting a rumor that the author of this article fucks his dog. I now expect that allegation to be featured in any public statement about them from this point forward. It’s only fair.

If you’re having a bad day, just think about how Jair Bolsonaro is going to die in prison 🫶🏽
This video BEGINS with a stupid fucking pig standing around with a gigantic weapon in a crowded restaurant, before he goes apeshit and leads an unprovoked assault on a woman, and then his fellow pigs gratuitously beat a prone, unarmed man.

Back in the field harvesting olives this morning at the invitation of Palestinian families (near Beit Jala today) with @rabbijilljacobs @truahrabbis and many other new released-from-detention friends.
Our harvest today was peaceful & successful. Sadly, another harvest in Masafer Yatta was not. Settlers attacked Palestinian farmers — but the IDF arrested two of the farmers, and evicted the others from their own land, after declaring it a closed military zone.
Sound familiar? It’s happening every single day.

I’ve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank.
The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.

victim blaming a 12 year old rape victim, these people deserve to be in prison, not running for office
Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign releases a statement on ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother:
"We don't know what happened between Amy and her mother, who first spoke out about Amy in 2020, but we know that Amy Acton is a serial fabulist who has some serious problems with the truth that the public needs to be aware of before deciding who to entrust as governor."

The commander of the Israeli military unit likely responsible for killing 5-year-old Hind Rajab is currently in the U.S.
As a party to the Genocide Convention and the Geneva Conventions, our government is obligated to arrest and investigate him for these war crimes and acts of genocide. I stand with @HindRFoundation in calling on the DOJ to follow the law and take action.
🇺🇸🚨 The #HindRajabFoundation has filed an urgent request with the U.S. Department of Justice, demanding the immediate investigation, arrest, and prosecution of Sean Glass, currently present in the United States. Glass commanded the Israeli unit implicated in Hind Rajab's murder. HRF's investigation places the 52nd Battalion—including Glass and his Vampire Empire Company—near her vehicle during the killing. Today, Glass walks free in the U.S.

Wow, I wonder who used this word? Maybe the ADL should denounce this person by name? Just a thought!

I can now confirm that yesterday I was notified of my expulsion from Latvia where I lived for 12 years. This, I believe, is a long-brewing revenge by far right politicians for my investigation into their links to Russian neo-Nazis who found refuge in Kyiv and who circulated the manifesto of Christchurch shooter in 2019. It is also a punishment for my commentary on the Russian aggression in Ukraine and for Pavel Sheremet investigation.
The notification doesn’t point to any specific misdemeanours or statements which prompted the decision. I was declared persona non grata, a status designed for diplomats who enjoy immunity from prosecution, not for ordinary people. This was done - as far right politicians who spearheaded the decision openly admit - in order to deny me justice in the Latvian court system: PNG status cannot be appealed in courts. This makes me conclude that I am facing political persecution.
For me it is a huge personal tragedy. I am being evicted from my only beloved home, deprived of my circle of friendship and support. I love Latvia, the land of my ethnic Latvian ancestors, and have no sense of revenge. I will always remain pro-Latvian. It makes me immensely sad that high positions in the Latvian government have been captured by forces whose closest political relation is Putin and who are using Putin’s aggression in Ukraine as a pretext for eroding the rule of law and democracy in the European Union.
My stance on the war in Ukraine remains unchanged. I condemn the Russian aggression and support Ukraine’s sovereignty over occupied territories. Ukraine is a wound in my heart, not a source of political gain as it is for my persecutors. But I’ll continue to criticise Western countries for mishandling this conflict and not acting in the best interests of the Ukrainian people. I shall not be gagged.
Shame on those who understand what is happening but look away or buy into smear campaign waged against me by the pro-war lobby and far right info dumps. One day, they’ll come for you, too.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
I will not be silenced.
The average of polls in 2016 showed Clinton ahead of Trump by 3.2 percentage points. The actual election results had Clinton ahead of Trump by 2.1 percentage points. The polls were quite accurate, in other words. These people misremember history.

Replying to @RealPData
This is why the elections are a surprise for the pollsters (not the conservatives.) If you can’t find enough republicans to answer your questions, your results are going to skew heavily towards the left, giving that population an increased sense of false security. Remember Hillary versus Trump in 2016? No trump supporter answered those polls, and if I’m not mistaken, HRC was prognosticated as a 97% chance of a shoe-in victory. I’ll never forget the look on Chris Wallace’s face when he finally said that “Trump may actually get elected…” Priceless, simply priceless…

this is the week every republican will start running away from the iran war. free ball for reporters who love the hypocrisy beat. time to hammer 20 years of iran warmongering against rogers's new position that the war must end.
ask him why he lied like netenyahu that iran "was abt to have nukes" for 20 yrs
ask him why he thought the war worth it only a couple months ago
ask him why he said hed sign a congressional auth for trump only a couple weeks ago
why change your position on iran now? are they no longer moments away from nukes? why say the iran wars impact on gas prices are no longer a cost youre willing to bear?
Zohran Mamdani is the son of a Marxist intellectual. He is a leftist engaged in the project of bringing radical politics into the mainstream and having a practical impact. Opportunists like Easton can't even conceive of a principled politics like this.

The people here *are* many of the people actively responding to ICE, trying to keep Congress from messing with DC’s budget, protesting the national guard, and pushing back against DOGE cuts.
If people outside of DC cared to see us as our own place, they might know that.
