i honestly think this recent episode’s writing with oliwia and gabby REALLY solidified this. they did not fix the biggest issue dc4 had with favoring and even infantilizing some of its white characters while putting down characters of color in the process.

my biggest issue with disventure camp that kind of encapsulates my feelings on it is that after the (preventable) failure of all stars instead of making great leaps to improve the show they keep making VERY small steps every new season which doesn’t help at all

like unless dc6 REALLY switches things up i do not see this issue getting fixed. it’s a reoccurring thing across these two recent seasons, and hell, even dcas had similar issues. i really think a sensitivity reader should be hired for both the writing and elimination order
