Oregon coach Dan Lanning announces that analyst Jay Johnson will be the new play caller for Oregon. He's a veteran offensive coordinator with multiple stops as a play caller.

Not the *biggest* problem in college football, but telling 10 Big Ten fanbases they have to wait until six days before a game to know whether it's a noon, afternoon or night game is still ridiculous. The Big Ten gets a pro-level paycheck, but no pro sports league does this.

The #Patriots are releasing their punter of the previous three season, Bryce Baringer, source says. He’s been on Injured Reserve, but is healthy now.

A true freshman hasn't started a season opener at Michigan State since Max Christie in 2021. Jasiah Jervis should be the next. si.com/college/michiganstate…

Seems like Anton Bonke is about to be a second-half DNP for the second straight exhibition.

Izzo taking a tech after a brutal missed foul call where Kur Teng got clipped mid-air and then got called for traveling after hitting the floor

MSU has fouled a three-point shooter three times today. Certainly don't see that often, and it's sort of emblematic of the out-of-sorts day the Spartans are having in Milwaukee.

There have been a few absurd Marquette shots in this one to create a gap. An and-one early in this one was essentially a circus shot, one three was banked in, and now MSU's 11-0 run ends on a forced logo three.

Anton Bonke only got 3 minutes in that first half after being a DNP during the second half vs. UConn He’s struggled, but it hasn’t felt *that* bad. Pretty unusual situation at the five for MSU right now.

Players not named Jordan Scott or Jasiah Jervis went 2-for-18 from the field and 0-of-8 from behind the arc during that half.

Choosing to blame the missed shots on the backboards apparently being slanted.

Not at the exhibition in Milwaukee, but looks like a new starting lineup for MSU in the final exhibition per StatBroadcast. Fears-Jervis-Scott-Carr-McCulloch
