People have complained "Tank Graves" wasn't a Tank. So here you go, Tank Graves, but Tankier [908388]๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ - 90% Spirit Res, (62% @ 16k souls) - 23% Bullet Res, -28% Fire rate, 73% weap steal - Plated, deflect + on-hit prev - Siphon (can't be anti-healed) + 13% -> 70% Lifesteal

Graves doesn't work in pro play, her early game is far too weak, and she can't get the econ needed. Why are we even comparing pubs and pro play? They are very different games. Tank Graves cannot be played in pro play. It's not possible. Making her new "meta build" irrelevant.

Shoutout to @jamlexdeadlock's Tank Graves build, which I have now successfully piloted to Eternus. I'm an Abrams main by trade but with how awful that hero feels this season I wanted something else and this build did what I needed. (Build ID: 872212)

โฌ‡๏ธExpand I think I did a bad job at explaining Tank Graves, it's the item combination is OP not Graves alone. The concept of stacking Item Damage Instances to make up for you own lack of neutral damage. (Most instance items have Resists as stats which is how it pivoted to "Tank") Graves can just facilitate essentially any item in the game, within reason, combined with her theft she can do some absurd Ultimate Bravery builds. This is why I think Torment Pulse bothers people so much and got lost in Translation, the idea is, the more simultaneous damage sources, the more effective DPS you have. Items in this game do so much damage so combining them gives you an absurd amount of damage while most of these items also have resist base stats. If you are items are doing all the damage you can invest more souls into defensive stats, which is how this idea came about. Also Escalating Exposure is bad on Graves. But for this build it's good. Multiplying a bunch of different Spirit Damage Sources makes the item actually have value rather than just trying to amplify Skull or Zombies damage alone in your base kit. โˆผ4 stacks of Escalating Exposure โˆผ= Boundless, so your damage doesn't get punished for not stacking raw spirit. And the many sources of spirit damage you have means you will stack Escalating Exposure off cooldown, and can even stack it AoE aaswell. This gives consistent Amp stacks in fights, which Graves just can't do in her base kit. The build stemmed from Calico's instance stack build + an old Scourge and Colossus build I was playing on Graves. It was based around damage instance stacking and I just realised that you inherently stacked resists with it. This is why I'm not sure what Yoshi is going to do to nerf Graves, she might get a slap on the wrist and they wait until the Shop Update or they just shoot her out back. We will have to see.
You gotta advertise it too so people dont think its just graves being op lol

I think this might be one of the best ways to abuse Transcendant Cooldown on Gravesโฐ 21% Bres 33% Sres base -> 35% Bres 84% Sres max, 200 Spirit Power (98% theft) Transcendant Cooldowns: Torment: 1.4s -> 1.05s Siphon: 1.2s -> 0.9s EscalatingE: 0.7s -> 0.52s (2s faster stack 12stack) Scourge: 35s -> 26s Metal Skin: 24s -> 18s SShield: 45s -> 34s WShield: 35s -> 26s Tesla/Capac: 0.2 -> 0.15 Basically an adjusted Tank Graves, just shaped around Transcendant Cooldown as an item for maximum efficiency

Measuring Torment Pulse on Graves vs Celeste and why it isn't as bad as you think, just differentโš ๏ธ I tracked 10 of my Graves games against 10 games from the #1 Celeste OTP (Jingle). Every buy time, hold time, damage number and spirit power value, game by game. Torment Pulse can match celeste mostly in longer games. Graves buys it earlier and holds it longer, so the longer the game goes, the closer I get. In 4 of my 10 games Torment Pulse did more total damage for me than it does for Celeste on average, and three of those went past 35 minutes. It also depends on how much Iโ€™m fighting up close. In my best games Iโ€™m landing pulses 87% as often as a typical Celeste game. Then if you account for Celesteโ€™s Radiant Daggers amp at a realistic 2โ€“3 stacks, those games match or even beat her. Escalating Exposure helps a bit too, since it amps every pulse once I have it. I buy it late though at like 30k ish, so it only moves things from 86% to 89% overall. Celeste still wins in consistency. Her kit keeps her in pulse range far more often, while on Graves I have to force those close-range fights myself. But this is a playstyle that I enjoy playing. So overall, Iโ€™m getting 86โ€“89% of the value the best Torment Pulse hero gets, and in my good games Iโ€™m matching her.
