In CCW class they tell you you have a heightened duty to avoid potential fights while armed, as a matter of legal and practical self-preservation. You don't want to raise the stakes to death in a fight, and you don't want to have to argue to a jury later about whether you provoked a fight while armed to bait someone into a self-defense situation.
The anti-ICE protestors have inverted the duties of being an armed citizen (or a citizen in control of a lethal instrument, like a car in a traffic stop). They are deliberately creating situations of maximum ambiguity with a low level threat of lethal danger to bait law enforcement into making them heroic victims or martyrs.
Being an "observer" of law enforcement, while also armed and getting into shoving distance with them, is just a bad idea, even if you think the law empowers you to play the "I'm not touching you" game with acts of defiance or minor assaults. It's also hazardous to the public trust to create a situation in which every protestor is regarded as a potential threat, and every cop seen to be on the edge of shooting someone.
I can't tell from the video whether this guy drew his gun at any point in the struggle. Regardless, getting into a struggle with a cop while armed has a serious chance of ending in your death. Even if the resulting shoot is ruled unjustified or in error, you're still dead, which is only good for people who profit from chaos and mistrust (protestors who cause is bad).
The shooting will not have been *unjust* or criminal, just a tragedy. It's also not proof of government oppression, because every government has to enforce laws, and you can't use the chaos of choosing to interfere with law enforcement as proof that having laws is unjust.

🚨SOMALIAN FRAUD IN GREEN BAY? Several tips were provided indicating possible Somalian fraud in Green Bay. This needs to be looked into at the local level. Somalian fraud is a ubiquitous problem infecting communities nationwide, not just Minneapolis. Congressman @RepTonyWied needs to get to the bottom of this ASAP.
Community Services Agency Inc., or COMSA, is a nonprofit serving the Somali community in Northeast Wisconsin, particularly Green Bay. COMSA estimates there are approximately 2,500 Somali-speaking individuals residing in Green Bay.

SAID HASSAN, the Executive Director of COMSA, is also a Board Member of Bellin Health, the primary healthcare provider in Green Bay.
According to an article in the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Bellin Health Systems "is working with Green Bay's Somali community to remove barriers to health care."
MAHAMED RAGE MAHAMED, the co-founder of COMSA, is from MINNEAPOLIS and currently working as the K-12 Content Lead for Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS). Mahamed says Bellin Health and COMSA have partnered to do community health outreach.
According to Mahamed's LinkedIn profile, prior to working for MPS, he worked for a "Nonprofit Community Services Agency" in Green Bay from October 2019 - present. During the SAME TIME period, the COMSA Executive Director, Said Hassan, was working for a company in Green Bay called "Midwest Research & Evaluation LLC."
According to Said Hassan's LinkedIn profile, he was the "Contract President" for 6 years at Midwest Research & Evaluation LLC. However, when you visit the website for this company listed on their LinkedIn page, the website does NOT EXIST.

🚨Additional tips received: a large number of Somalians are currently residing in apartment buildings near the intersection of Western Ave and S. Military Ave, located on the west side of Green Bay in a primarily residential area. This is the SAME LOCATION as the COMSA office. Vehicles with Minnesota license plates are regularly in the area. It is said the visitors are Somalian "husbands" who are routinely visiting their "wives." A gentleman who previously worked in this area of Green Bay reached out and corroborated this information.

“It's the same thing that we're finding in Minnesota, just to be completely blunt, the same tactics being used to defraud Medicaid.
In this case, Zombie offices, I call them, where large clusters of home health care businesses and providers in one location.
We saw them in Minnesota and we're seeing them here and the business owners and building owners that we speak to here say, enough.
We're here in Portland, Maine. We found of the businesses that are registered in here of the 20-something businesses, 10 of them are home health care businesses
As you can see, Prestige Home Care, Bright Star Home Care, Atlanta Community Support, Five Stars Home Health Care, Prime Home Care, LLC.
It's a trend we saw in Minnesota, one that the Minnesota House Oversight Committee on Fraud — Large clusters of healthcare providers in one location.
