Agree, and this is my problem with both the Christian Left and Christian Right. God doesnโ€™t align neatly with either political party. One can be Christian and either left or right, but that doesnโ€™t make one โ€œChristian left/right.โ€ I credit the Christian Left for at least rebuking the Christian Right doing this, but they themselves fall into the same hypocrisy.
My objection to the religious left is that it only takes the Christian ethical teachings seriously when they don't run into any conflict with contemporary secular progressive ethics, as with abortion. If you only believe the parts of Christianity that make you popular, then you don't really believe in Christianity, whose founder was quite unpopular in his time.

My wife has taught high school in Tokyo for twenty years. Every year, a few of her students spend a year living with a family in America. When they come home, she asks each of them one question. "What do you miss?" She expects hamburgers. She almost never gets hamburgers. And these aren't old stories. Most of these kids came home in the last two years. "Every time I left the house, my host mom said, 'Text me when you get there.' In Japan, nobody needs to know where I am. In Ohio, somebody always did." (Mina, 17, Ohio) "If you walk toward a door, an American will hold it open. Even if you are very far away. So you have to run. I ran to so many doors." (Itsuki, 16, Georgia) "My host brother screamed on the floor of a grocery store. A stranger walked by and said to my host mom, 'You're doing great, Mama.' She almost cried. I didn't know strangers were allowed to say that." (Aoi, 17, Texas) "We went away for the weekend and left our trash can at the curb. When we got back, it was by the garage. Nobody said who. My host dad said if it had been there one more day, the neighbor would have knocked." (Haruto, 16, Minnesota) "A car got stuck in the snow in front of our house. Four men came out of four houses. Nobody called them. They pushed, the car drove away, and they went back inside without saying their names." (Ren, 17, Michigan) "Every American has jumper cables. Maybe half of them know which clip goes where. The other half help anyway." (Shin, 16, Montana) "In July, my host family put a cooler on the porch. Cold water, snacks, and a sign: 'For our delivery drivers. Thank you!' I asked if they knew the drivers. They said no." (Nanami, 16, Arizona) "Downtown, there are banners on the lampposts. Photos of soldiers from the town. Some old, some very young. My host grandpa walked me down the street and told me every name." (Yuna, 16, Iowa) "I got a C-plus on my first test. My host dad said, 'I'm proud of you,' and put it on the fridge. In Japan, nobody is proud of a C-plus." (Takeru, 17, Pennsylvania) Then the quietest girl in the class raised her hand. Sora. Seventeen. Missouri. "Nobody asks me 'home safe?' anymore," she said. She was wrong. In September, there was a typhoon warning for Tokyo. At 2 a.m., Sora's phone lit up. It was her host mom. In Missouri. Watching the weather in a country she had never been to. "Saw the storm. You home safe?" Sora told my wife she cried for a long time. Then she typed the answer she had typed a hundred times, from football games and friends' driveways. "Home safe." Her host mom wrote back one line. "Good. That's all I needed." My wife has asked that question for twenty years. Not one kid has ever said they missed how big America is. They miss how America says goodbye. And how it checks that you got home. So, America. You think you've lost something. You haven't. It's on a porch in Arizona. It's pushing a car in Michigan. It's awake at 2 a.m. in Missouri, watching our weather. You don't remember doing any of it. A kid in Tokyo will never forget.

Western liberals imported the third world into France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion. They ignored fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility. They were told it would lead to this and they didn't listen. I pray that France, a beautiful country of amazing people, will stop this madness before more of its landmarks burn. And I hope Americans are paying attention. This is the future congressional Democrats seek for your country.

Surround yourself with people who see a flying car and say, "Awesome!" Not people who see a flying car and say, "It's not actually flying" or "I don't see the point." This post is not about cars :)

What is with this trend of taking black superheroes, adapting them into live action, making them horrible people, and still expecting the audience to root for them/be sympathetic towards them? Ironheart did the same thing #Lanterns

#Lanterns The next day and Iโ€™m still upset about that finale after sleeping on it. The show didnโ€™t even do a surf Dracula and show John in the suit in the last episodeโ€ฆ John never once wore the suit.

#Lanterns I think the fundamental problem with the DCU right now is a lack of trust. In the announcement video, James Gunn talks about how the Flash movie was going to set up the DCU and it would be an easy transition. The Flash movie did none of thatโ€ฆ Half of the projects that were announced in the original gods and Monsters video have either been canceled or indefinitely delayed. James talked about how Supergirl was this amazing movie that he personally watched and loved based on the comicโ€ฆ and it wasnโ€™t. It later came out that the director and writer didnโ€™t even read the actual comic. He promised that Lanterns would be some giant mystery tying into the DCUโ€ฆ What was the giant mystery? Having some random character kill off how Jordan? It wasnโ€™t even someone major in the comics that did it like Carol, it was literally a character created for the show. Everything felt pretty localized to just Rushville. And then he talked about how the season finale of Peacemaker season two was one of the best things heโ€™s ever directed, and it was probably the worst finale of any superhero show, with the exception of The Flash tv show. Iโ€™ve been a big James Gunn defender, but what are we doing here? It doesnโ€™t help that half of the content is rated R and has literal nude or orgy scenes in it. Thatโ€™s not going to expand your viewer base or have kids watch it. The DCU needs to do better, not just whatever perverted crap it has going on. This season finale of Lanterns really just pissed me off. A whole bunch of talking and we never even got to see John wear the suit.

Have you noticed how online creators love to blame capitalism for everything, even when the real culprit is staring them right in the face? ๐Ÿ“ฑ In this video, we break down why the younger generation is actually becoming more isolated and risk-averse. It isn't a failure of the free marketโ€”itโ€™s the direct result of disappearing public spaces, algorithmic division, and a textbook psychological tactic designed to break down community trust from the inside out. Watch the full breakdown to see how these cultural traps work, and let me know your thoughts in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡ #CriticalThinking #MediaLiteracy #CultureShift

Maura Healey represents some of the worst tendencies of contemporary Catholicism. She's of Irish lineage, raised in New England, attended elite educational institutions, claims to be Catholic despite her sodomitical union to another woman. When the Bishop of Worcester ordered a Jesuit middle school to stop flying Black Lives Matter and Pride flags, she criticized him, saying that "inclusion" is at the heart of Catholic teaching. In 2024, she traveled to Rome to speak at a Vatican climate summit hosted by the Pontifical Academies of Sciences and Social Sciences, and personally met with Pope Francis. The "Catholicism" of Maura Healey is precisely the "beige Catholicism" that @BishopBarron criticizes. These are baptized and confirmed Catholics who reduce Catholic doctrine to "just be a good person", despite not even being able to do that (good persons don't typically massacre the unborn). Maura Healey's Catholicism takes the "welcome the migrant" and "protect the climate" parts seriously, while simply rejecting the "don't murder the unborn", "don't euthanize the elderly", "don't trans your kids" parts of it. My problem isn't necessarily with her. Of course, she is extremely wrong and on the path to perdition. But Healey is a byproduct of DECADES of decadent malformation, poor preaching, and shoddy witness to the Catholic faith by a number of prelates and priests who are too scared to become martyrs for the sake of the Gospel of Life. Healey's views are heinous, but in any other century, she would be univocally condemned, shamed, exiled, and excommunicated. This is why I believe there is a crisis in the Church. Some of the most prominent voices in Catholicism are all too eager to endorse Healey's anemic version of Catholicism. Sure, they will view the abortion stuff as bad, but figure that she makes up for it in other areas (typically the areas progressives like to champion; climate, immigration, DEI, etc.) The best thing the bishops of Massachusetts could do, save from a formal excommunication of the governor, is to call for a week of prayer, fasting, and abstinence for the crimes against humanity committed by their so-called "Catholic" governor.
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey signs the bill for abortions up to birth as Democrats celebrate.

As a father and husband, I can tell you the last two years have been pure hell for my wife Bridget, our daughter Emily, me, and our entire family in the aftermath of Emily's divorce. It has been horrific to watch this play out in full public view, all while knowing an innocent two-year-old girl is caught in the middle. Our priority has always been protecting our daughter and our granddaughter. Out of concern for the safety of my family, I hoped to keep this matter private but Max Millerโ€™s increasingly erratic and dangerous behavior has made that impossible. As he has admitted privately, Max Miller needs serious psychological help. He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter. If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them. He should not serve in the House of Representatives. I believe Max Miller needs to seek professional help to end the clear pattern of abuse he has left in his wake. I believe he should not be free to continue endangering others until he does. I ran for office because I wanted to make a difference for the country that gave me every opportunity to succeed, and to leave this nation better for my children and grandchildren. That sacrifice has been especially hard on my wife Bridget, whose big heart and steady support have never wavered. I owe it to her, to Emily, and to my granddaughter to speak the truth now.
