HubSpot isn't telling you everything when it comes to your email marketing.
It can't tell you:
- when content is jinxing your ability to land in inboxes
- what fresh asks and messaging angles to try based on your performance
- whether your DNS is updated and configured properly to succeed in 2026+
I'm offering email program audits to help you see exactly what's holding you back, score your program across delivery, segmentation, asks, messaging, and setup, and give you strategic fixes for leveling up in Q4 and Q1.
DM me if you're interested, or just head to anthrohub.co to book yours!
7th marketer to book an audit gets theirs free.

The price of "how to say it" is plummeting, but the price of "what to say" has never been higher. The only way to escape the deluge of slop is to focus on wisdom, taste, and authority.
Some of my best clients have come from conversations on social and in communities.
So I used Grok Bot to build a daily morning digest that sends me links to Reddit threads, HubSpot community posts, and social posts that I can add value/expertise to.
Also doubles as ongoing market research for me.
It's early days, but I'm liking the flow.
At first I was the guy encouraging friends and family to train martial arts.
Now I'm the guy encouraging his dad friends to train kettlebells.
A couple of 35s has done more for me in 6 months than 6 years of taekwondo:
- muscle build and tone
- strength (grip, squat, pull, push)
You don't have to drive to the gym.
Just pull these bad boys out of the closet and get smoked/pumped.
I do miss muay thai though - gave me more muscle and conditioning in 1.5 years than taekwondo in 6. Sigh.
But with 3 kids under the age of 5 and a business to run, that just ain't in the cards right now.
So early mornings and kettlebells it is.
Yep

This is badass.
And seems like such a no-brainer.
A country that can't produce anything on its own will always be vulnerable and dependent on other countries who can take that thing away anytime.
I'm all for this, and really wish Apple would do the same.
Hot take: your email delivery problems are probably just lifecycle problems.
So many teams are sitting on HubSpots stuffed with contacts.
"We really need to send emails."
I mean, probably.
But before you do:
Plug holes in your lifecycle.
Map out the areas where you should have flows but don't (asset download nurtures, meetings booked/not booked, expansion opps, referral flows, etc) and build those flows.
Send to people right when you're top of mind and they've expressed intent.
Do that first, confirm those emails are landing, THEN move on to emailing dormant lists.
But you should build reputation and plug holes in the lifecycle first.
Otherwise you'll just send emails to people who didn't ask for them, which hurts your delivery and reputation and creates all kinds of fresh problems.
Starting in November 2026, Spamhaus will be gradually enforcing basic DNS requirements.
Gmail is already doing this.
Marketers, if you're not up on this stuff, you probably should be.

Voice of customer plays a role in how companies ship vague, me-too messaging.
Your customers already understand the value of your product, have learned your kinks, and see past the vague claims (because their mind fills in the blanks).
Customers are great at telling you how to be a better version of the category. They parrot the obvious value their getting from you.
What they can’t tell you is how to stand out in the market. They already picked you.
Voice of Customer = the people who already bought.
Voice of Market = everyone you still need to win.
When companies test messaging with target buyers on Wynter, the most common reaction is some version of “I’ve seen these claims 1000 times.” Or “how’s this different from [category leader]?”
Your customers would never tell you that. Voice of market does.
You need input from both.
Wrote emails for one of my clients that came up in sales and client calls.
Thankfully, the CEO understood. He asked for more.
Hilarious, and true.
Should also make you feel better about sending more interesting, relevant, well-crafted emails.
No one sees every social post. No one sees every ad. No one sees every [insert your favorite channel here].
The reality is, every single channel you're using looks kinda like this for your ICP.
Keep sending. Keep posting.
Distribution is the game right now.
The noise has ramped up.
For better or worse, you need to take more shots.
