Gadi wrote the Dahiya doctrine: aka targeting civilians disproportionately - what happened there will happen in every village. Gaza lived it. As army chief he oversaw the 2018 fence killings. He urged it on Lebanon in 2026, & rejects any Palestinian state.

Nothing is more heartbreaking than seeing a child trembling from the cold while having no blanket to keep him warm. In Gaza, the war has left children with no homes to shelter in, no windows to protect them from the rain, and no warm beds to sleep in. Even their basic right to warmth and safety has been taken away from them

Replying to @simon_schama
@simon_schama described allegations of genocide in Gaza as a “blood libel” and a “profound lie”.
And STILL not a single Palestinian voice on your panel.
THE @BBC's COMPLICITY IS SO FUCKING OBVIOUS!
We talk about how you can't present genocide as a debate with two equally legitimate sides.
But the BBC isn’t even doing that.
Palestinians aren't even given a voice. Those who dare speak up for them are smeared as antisemites, while those who defend Israels war crimes are handed a national platform.
What the actual FUCK has happened to our media?
This is beyond a failure of journalism. It's a failure of humanity.

It’s hard to grasp the BBC’s systematic attempt to launder Israeli propaganda until you see the sheer scale of it. Here's a compilation of them doing it at 2x speed.
The latest was on Newsnight on 4 November. When Bernie Sanders called Israel’s government extremist, Victoria Derbyshire answered for it: “And the Israeli government would deny that they are extremists.”
As this video shows, BBC presenters repeatedly do this as guests describe Israel’s crimes: “Israel would say.” “Israel would deny.” “They would reject that.”
We counted 70 of these denials and justifications in 52 aired interviews. The BBC calls this impartiality. But in not one of those 52 did a presenter raise any of these words from Israel’s own leaders:
- “We are fighting human animals.” Yoav Gallant, 9 October 2023
- “It is an entire nation out there that is responsible.” Isaac Herzog, 12 October 2023
- “They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world.” Israel Katz, 13 October 2023
- “Remember what Amalek did to you.” Benjamin Netanyahu, 3 November 2023
- Starving two million people in Gaza until the hostages came back might be “justified and moral”. Bezalel Smotrich, 5 August 2024
On 10 October 2023, Tahani Mustafa told the BBC that Israeli forces were not distinguishing civilians from fighters. The presenter replied: “They would reject that.” Mustafa then had to bring up Gallant’s “human animals” herself. The BBC supplied the denial. The guest had to supply Israel’s own words.
That is cherry-picking. The Royal Charter requires the BBC to be impartial, and the public pays for it through the licence fee. In these interviews, it handed its audience Israel’s denials and left out its leaders’ own words, during a genocide streamed live to the world.
We have archived the BBC’s coverage for three years, and we are now counting all of it: 50,000 video clips and many more written excerpts.
We are calling this first part: "BBC: The Would Say Files".
Handing Israel its denials is only one of the ways the BBC launders Israeli propaganda, so we will count every other technique too. Over the next few weeks, we will announce each milestone as we complete the report.

Some background on these awful scenes. This poor man was among what Israel calls security prisoners. Yusuf Qasem was never charged with anything. This is what two years as one of Israel’s hostages looks like.
1) Yusuf Iyad Yahya Qasem, from Nablus, was released on the night of November 5 after two years in Israeli custody. In the video, men hold him up while his mother hugs him. Quds News Network said he “came out an exhausted body unable to stand.” You can see they are not lying.
2) He was held under administrative detention, with no charge, no trial and a secret file. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club list for November 11, 2025 has him at number 2: “Yusuf Iyad Yahya Qasem, Nablus, 6 months.” Israel can renew those orders every six months with no limit.
3) He is one of 3,198 Palestinians held in administrative detention, according to the Israeli rights group HaMoked. Palestinian prisoner groups count 92 Palestinians who have died in Israeli custody since October 7, 2023.
4) Haaretz, October 14, citing testimony and documents: prison riot units fired rubber bullets at Palestinian prisoners 21 times since the war began. In one case they shot a prisoner in the testicle, and it had to be surgically removed.
5) Israel not only does nto deny abuses, it encourages them. Ben-Gvir, October 2, in his own words: a guard sent him a photo of a Palestinian prisoner’s meal at Ketziot with eight olives instead of six, so he drove three hours to the prison.
6) President Herzog claims he ias against torturing detainees but not in practice. On November 5, he said: “The steps Minister Ben-Gvir has taken are important and their time has come, regarding the prisons.” His only objection was that Ben-Gvir’s stunt with the flotilla detainees hurt Israel’s image. That night, Yusuf Qasem came out of prison unable to stand.
Israel holds more than 3,000 people like Yusuf Qasem without charging them. It decides when they go home and in what condition. Its president calls that policy important and overdue. They treat their hostages far, far worse than Hamas ever did to the hostages it took.
Palestinian prisoner Yusuf Qasem has been released from an Israeli prison after two years, in critical health and unable to stand on his own feet.
Qasem is one of many prisoners who, while in custody, were subjected to starvation, abuse, and the deliberate disregard of serious medical conditions.
Yet, the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, praises this—and compliments Ben-Gvir on his conduct within the prison system.
It bears repeating: the President of the State of Israel is praising this.

I have watched interviews in which Israeli officials are asked why foreign journalists are barred from entering Gaza or face restrictions on their work in the West Bank. Their response is that journalists can enter and work with complete freedom. However, this video reveals a different reality, showing how foreign journalists are treated in the West Bank, while foreign media remain completely barred from entering Gaza.
