We would like to echo these comments and also call on Ofqual to ensure the results of the students who studied BTEC qualifications are treated the same as A levels & GCSEs.
We welcome today’s announcement that students will receive the Centre Assessed grades for both A levels & GCSEs. However we call upon Ofqual to apply this to BTEC students as well. It is unfair for their downgraded results to remain unaffected by the Government’s change of heart

.@neil_parish Unlike other local MP's,I've not heard a word of support for parents and pupils in your constituency. Can you respond and challenge the government to do the right thing. xitter.gq/chrisloder/status/1294…
This evening I share my open letter to all A-level students in West Dorset.

2. They are doing a "brand audit" and - if you can get past the language - the question asking why you go to the library gives you 14 possible answers, not one mentioning the possibility that you go to the library to borrow books #libraries #privatisation #literacy

I spent five years as Director of Public Prosecutions working on live operations with the security intelligence services. I'm not going to take lectures from a Prime Minister, who sat on an Intelligence and Security Committee report for ten months, on national security. #PMQs

Now, why would they do that? @neil_parish @simonjamesjupp Can you tell me how you voted, and why? I know you are both very active on social media. Could you spare a few minutes to explain to your constituents the reason for your vote? Thank you.

Replying to @publiclibnews
What management/staff ratio would you expect in a public library service? In #Devon, "management, service development and support services" account for 20% FTE equivalent staff, and this year they have added fundraising manager and now head of library service #libraries #mutuals

Chef librarian resigns due to having no library qualifications. In the UK, it’s is common not to have them. Libraries Unlimited is currently appointing a library services manager to do library stuff because their boss is entirely from a charity background. cbc.ca/news/canada/new-bruns…

We may be ok next year. But we are looking at a cliff edge after that. We need more. More teachers, more teaching assistants, more youth workers, more play therapists, more speech and language workers, more family support, more CAMHS workers, more social workers.

This morning I called upon Ian Hall,EDDC Councillor for #Axminster , to delete an extremely discourteous and disrespectful tweet to his fellow ward member Joe Whibley. This is how the Conservative group intend to behave in future... “not interested in listening to you now”
