I sometimes wonder what my life would've been like had I stayed with my father in Holland rather than go back to the states with my mom after the divorce. I was so stressed as a kid. US kids stressed me out, even before the bullying.

I remember that movie was freaky as shit.
I guess Pluto has it up to watch for free.

I already had two lunch breaks and now I'm going to have a nap break. Work is a construct. Someone wake me up in an hour. Thanks!
I keep trying to caffeine and sugar my way into feeling good but the fact of the matter is I just didn't get enough sleep last night

Rest in power is a phrase used for minority groups murdered in persecution, primarily black people. It is not a phrase for white wealthy cishet men.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
"Rest in power" originated in 1980s-2000s graffiti/activist scenes (including Latino examples) and is used more broadly for public figures and deaths beyond primarily Black victims of persecution, including white non-activists.

Yesterday, I received a security notification from Apple warning me that my iPhone had been targeted by a sophisticated mercenary spyware attack, involving technology of the kind developed by companies such as NSO Group, the Israeli firm behind the notorious Pegasus spyware.
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of Apple’s warning was its confirmation that such attacks target specific individuals “because of who you are or what you do.”
This is not the first time I have been targeted by spyware. I was previously targeted with Pegasus in both 2017 and 2021.
I do not yet know who is behind this latest attack, or whether it is connected to my investigative documentary, The Trap, which I directed and co-produced. The film, available on Al Jazeera 360, exposed the details of the September 2024 pager explosions in Lebanon.
What is certain, however, is that the targeting of journalists with sophisticated spyware poses a grave threat to press freedom, the confidentiality of journalistic sources, and the very foundations of independent investigative journalism.
Striking on a Friday is not enough. They should strike until january.

Police shoot Black man having a seizure with taser—7 times.
He was putting up Halloween decorations outside his own home.
EMS was treating him after he collapsed in his yard.
"All of a sudden a cop shows up, shoves everyone out the way, and jumps on top of him," brother said.
The officer has only been identified as Sgt. Price with the Chattahoochee Police Department.
He claims he was just trying to assist EMS with a "combative individual" and encountered "physical resistance."
Dwight Jackson is the man attacked by the cop.
He says was not intentionally combative—was defenseless and only experiencing a medical emergency.
Dwight Jackson described the experience as being "more terrifying than being in the war."
Incident occurred outside his house on Chattahoochee Street in Chattahoochee, Florida.

I interpreted the movie IT FOLLOWS as an AIDS parable when I watched it a few weeks before my diagnosis while I was really sick with pneumonia

It twists my melon normie Dems won’t even try to address these facts rhetorically. It’s not even like they’re actively ignoring them either. It’s more like they physically can’t hear or read them.
My uncle spent 40 years as a high school teacher. Saved $250k in a modest nest egg.
At 78, he developed dementia and needed memory care.
The facility cost $8,500 a month.
When his savings ran out after two and a half years, the social worker handed my cousin a stack of paperwork.
She explained the rule: "Medicaid won't cover a single day until he has less than $2,000 in total liquid assets."
He had to sell his car, cash out his remaining life insurance, and empty his checking account just to qualify for basic care.
Forty years of discipline, erased down to two thousand dollars so he could die in a shared room.
They don't let working class families leave a legacy.
They make sure you die with zero before they hand you a safety net.
