I think the single dumbest take I’ve seen as a result of the Brewers is that they are “showing” pull air doesn’t matter. Like there weren’t - couple of better offense built on the back of pull air. Citing guys like Soto, Ohtani, and Alvarez as “all fields” power.1/x
Forgetinf that Soto, Ohtani, and Alvarez all had their best years when they pulled the ball in the air more. Also saying that pull air is easy to defend, when in reality hard contact up the middle is much more likely to be an out and not produce damage.

Everybody wins. Brewers fans get their World Series. MLB's laughable salary cap "arguments" get completely undercut. And the Brews finally get this out of their system so the Cardinals can resume dominating the NL Central
This is one of the most dominant postseason runs ever, but I do think it’s hyperbolic to call the 2026 Brewers one of the best teams ever. There are many other teams that were better over the 162 game season, and a 162 game sample is far more important for team quality imo.
If you over weight the playoffs sure. But objectively the 2022 Dodgers were substantially better teams.

There’s something ironic about John Smoltz praising Jacob Misiorowski for his elite extension and low release height, then hating on “Analytics” moments later.
This will almost certainly never happen. It’s simply that there is a ton of value in day to day game planning and in game execution. Not to mention players themselves don’t have enough time during most of the season to go see third party coaches.
they’re building whole villages near stadiums off of the business of baseball but that will never be included in “baseball revenue.” and that won’t be reinvested in the teams clamoring for this either. I know this because that’s how it is with revenue sharing right now
The way the team hit late in the year I actually thought this might happen. Also I expect a new hitting coach to be trying to get the team to pull the ball in the air more.
News out of St. Louis: The Cardinals have parted ways with hitting coach Brant Brown, but expect to retain the majority of the major-league coaching staff for next season.
