we just got rejected from the YC F26 batch!
but when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. so here is my @ycombinator rejection x @treasury_sh launch video.
investments. multi-currency. and the most intelligent agent for personal finance.
let me know what you think :) – at San Francisco, CA
treasury docs and ai used to drift apart. now guides live in the repo next to the code, so a feature and its guide ship in the same PR
one edit updates both treasury.sh/help and treasury ai
ci fails if a feature ships without a guide, and flags any guide whose code changed since i last checked it.
would Airbnb get into YC in 2026?
YC gave us Airbnb, Reddit, DoorDash, and Instacart.
but consumer startups have gone from ~26% of YC batches in 2014 to ~6% today.
is the motto still “make something people want” or has it become “make something agents want”?
im applying to W27 to find out.

here's the demo I submitted for my @ycombinator W27 application for @treasury_sh.

in honor of the @ycombinator W27 deadline tonight, here’s the footage from my F26 interview.
@garrytan plz go easy on me this time 😭
I’m sharing my @ycombinator W27 application publicly.
I committed to building in public. That doesn’t mean waiting for success, it means putting yourself out there, even when failures still on the table. Otherwise, I’d just be celebrating in public.
So here’s mine for @treasury_sh 🧵
i never understood why founders keep their @ycombinator application videos private.
if you're building a company, sharing your YC application video is a great way to get eyes on what you're building, get feedback and potential early users. you'll have to talk about your startup publicly one day anyway. might as well start now.
so here's mine for @treasury_sh
YC W27 deadline is coming up. comment what you’re building below. i’ll personally review your app, personally refer the top ones, and personally make sure this tweet does numbers. 💪🏽 p.s im not a yc founder lol
if i were a YC founder and my posts weren’t getting enough engagement, i’d simply tweet:
“YC W27 deadline is coming up. comment what you’re building below. i’ll personally review your app, personally refer the top ones, and personally make sure this tweet does numbers.”
anyway i made a mango-pistachio affogato in an @Apple cup today.
btw there’s absolutely nothing wrong with helping people hahahaha ifykyk
it's tempting to build complex features that make us sound impressive.
but one of the most used parts of treasury is just asking questions about your money.
so i made that a lot better. it now suggests questions based on your real numbers. simple change, but one real users appreciate a lot!
why give @ycombinator more than 7% of your startup?
I’ve spent a year bootstrapping @treasury_sh. It’s growing.
Here’s why I’m applying to YC W27.
I built 150+ calculator pages and tools for Treasury.
I turned the workflow into a free skill for your coding agent. Give it your product to research tool ideas, build the pages and check the SEO.
