Paraguayans dragged a congressman through the streets and threw sh*t at him. What's going on in Paraguay? A major banking crisis hit the country after regulators seized Ueno Bank, freezing the accounts of millions, roughly 1 in 3 people. Now 60% of the population can't access their money, and President Santiago Peña resigned on November 5.

To co oglądacie to ilustracja jak wygląda ostateczny koniec zaufania do państwa i systemu bankowego. Paragwaj płonie. Jeszcze w poniedziałek ueno bank był dumą paragwajskiej bankowości. Pierwszy cyfrowy bank w kraju, jeden z pięciu największych banków komercyjnych i oficjalny sponsor narodowego sportu. We wtorek rano do ueno bank wkroczyli przedstawiciele banku centralnego. W Asunción doszło do starć z policją. Tłum żąda teraz impeachmentu samego prezydenta. Dlaczego prezydenta, skoro upadł prywatny bank? Bo to nie był zwykły prywatny bank. Peña był udziałowcem holdingu Ueno jeszcze w 2025 roku. Odkąd objął urząd, do Ueno płynęła rzeka publicznych pieniędzy.

A Paraguayan bank has collapsed with the people's savings.
BREAKING: 🇵🇾 What just happened in PARAGUAY is a WARNING for everyone on earth. More than 3 million people (60% of Paraguay's adult population) have lost access to EVERYTHING. Their bank accounts. Their pensions. Frozen. Inaccessible. Paraguay’s largest digital bank, Ueno Bank, has collapsed. The president of the Central Bank (who is deeply connected to Ueno) has just RESIGNED. Eight high-level executives including the founder and the Bank President are being detained. The people have taken to the streets to demand their money back. And rightly so. This is the model Milei and the rest of the Epstein class are pushing. This could happen ANYWHERE. Best to save in physical gold and physical silver, imo.

These things Ruto has done in his first term are what you would expect from a president serving his last term, with nothing to lose. If he can do all this while still hoping for re-election, what would a second term mean for Kenyans?

Mr Prez.
Our Constitution envisages an Independent Police Service and an Inspector General who is responsible for the enforcement of law and order without direction from anyone. Thats why our Courts require the IG to be the one to produce people who have been lawfully arrested. Unfortunately this system can’t work where the regime sets up parallel police squads away from the IG’s command. This is exactly why LMM insists on Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law. I will not be surprised if the IG shows up and tells the court, just like he did in the Twaha Mwaipaya case, that he doesn’t know where lawyer Abshar Abdi is. #LindaKatiba

Fifteen consequences Kenya is likely to face if William Ruto secures a second term by any means: 1. Presidential term limits will be dismantled. Removing or weakening the two-term limit is expected to feature early on the legislative agenda of a second Ruto administration. 2. The terms of Members of Parliament and Governors will be extended from five to seven years. This change is anticipated as an immediate priority. As seen in comparable cases elsewhere in the region, legislators from across the political divide can be induced to support such a measure through substantial financial incentives. 3. Devolution will be progressively hollowed out and functions recentralised. The national executive has already assumed control over housing, agriculture, healthcare, markets, industrial parks, and major road networks~functions constitutionally assigned to county governments. Little meaningful authority is likely to remain with the counties. 4. The tax burden will rise further, driving up the cost of living, electricity, and fuel. Odious debt will be the order of the day. 5. Interest rates will remain elevated or increase, leading to more loan defaults and property auctions. Public borrowing will continue without a full, independent audit of the debt accumulated over the combined Uhuru and Ruto periods. 6. Poverty, crime, gender-based violence, insecurity, and organised thuggery are expected to intensify. 7. Industrial closures will accelerate and unemployment will worsen. 8. Education and healthcare will face accelerated privatisation. Families will confront sharp increases in costs. Proposed education legislation is expected to raise interest rates on student loans to levels that will impose severe long-term financial strain on households. 9. Environmental degradation will deepen. Policies favouring genetically modified crops, large-scale land transfers to foreign entities for carbon-credit projects, and continued forest clearance are projected to damage rivers, lakes, wetlands, and coastal ecosystems on a significant scale. 10. Civil liberties and human rights protections will be substantially eroded. Media freedom, the right to assembly, and freedom of expression will face severe restrictions. Extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances are expected to continue or increase. 11. Key institutions~the Judiciary, Parliament, the Kenya Defence Forces, the National Police Service, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, and independent commissions~will be brought under effective executive control. This will entrench impunity and weaken adherence to the rule of law, potentially rendering core constitutional safeguards inoperative in practice. 12. Large-scale infrastructure projects financed through external debt will push the country toward a deeper fiscal crisis. Once creditors begin to enforce repayment terms, the short-term political benefits of road and other projects secured through ethnic bargaining will be outweighed by the economic costs. 13. National sovereignty will be further compromised. Mineral resources and strategic assets will be placed under foreign control or influence. External security or paramilitary actors may be engaged to suppress domestic dissent. 14. The international standing of Kenyan passports and the credibility of Kenyan academic qualifications will come under greater scrutiny. 15. Rising mental-health pressures among young people, including depression, will contribute to a broader social unravelling. Declining trust in religious institutions that failed to confront governance failures is expected to accelerate the rejection of conventional family structures and further erode the social fabric.

With the Dems winning in the US I hope to God that they won't bring back their dumbass DEI and rainbow nonsense they were so loudly propagating pre-Trump. Nebuchadnezzar has restored sense to daily life, but now he's crippled without a legislative majority.
