Look out for @inthesetimesmag sharing soon my history of the DSA’s Sanders for prez endorsement processes.
There seems to be some revisionist history it wasn’t contentious in 2020. Very much was.
Who’s the left candidate in 2028?
- no one knows
- frmer AOC spox tells me if she decides to run, it shouldn’t be bc there’s no one else
- DSA tells me if AOC runs & they consider endorsing her, it’ll be more contentious than when they backed Sanders

Would you rather have your taxes paying for all this stuff, or trillions more in military spending & even more tax cuts for billionaires…
Workers deserve more!

A debate over Medicare-for-All turns into a larger clash over socialism, government spending, and France's economic troubles. @willcain warns that the promises of universal healthcare could collide with fiscal reality.

A striking stat re AIPAC performance in the midterms. In 2022, almost 70% of its funds went into races where it got the desired result. In 2024, it was 87%. In 2026, that figure is 34%.

Winning Medicare for All, an arms embargo, and abolishing ICE won’t happen without sustained organizing.

REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM
Congratulations to DSA chapters in Virginia on the passage of Questions 1, 2, & 3! These guarantee the right to reproductive freedom, to marriage equality, and to vote — core rights that democratic socialists are proud to fight for. Join our movement: dsausa.org/join 🌹

And let’s be clear, the owing is actually to NYC-DSA
The entire Democratic Party owes a massive debt of gratitude to Zohran Mamdani.
Before his rapid rise, the party was largely rudderless, suffering from a loss of direction, momentum, and self-confidence. By drifting away from the working class, the party naturally saw voters walk away in response.
Mamdani single-handedly corrected the course, bringing vital energy, ideological clarity, and an authentic connection back to the very people who had been left behind.
Without his influence, the party’s current standing would look very different.
