Modi Govt deals another lethal blow against drugs with Operation Trident.
Our agencies launched a barrage of simultaneous crackdowns across 38 locations in Assam, Mizoram and Manipur on 23 October, smashing an international narco-cartel. The operation revealed ₹100 crore worth of hawala transactions, froze 1,424 bank accounts, attached properties worth ₹17.82 crore, seized 500 detonators and ₹12 lakh in cash, and led to the arrest of 18 people.
The network trafficked narcotics across the borders of India, Myanmar and Bangladesh through the Death Triangle Corridor. The offensive attests to India’s Himalayan resolve to realise the mission of eradicating every drug network by 31 December 2029. India will hammer until the last nail is driven into the coffin of drug cartels.
Heartiest congratulations to the anti-narcotics team comprising central agencies, and police forces of the three states.

It’s quite hilarious that Pakistanis compare themselves to India in defence industrial production- they are effectively at the level Indian DPSUs were about 30 years ago
In terms of industrial clusters India has about 10 of them spread around and most have far more developed capabilities than this
As always the main limiting factor are Indian users. If they funnelled the vast majority of their CAPEX into Indian industry the gap wouldn’t even be worth mentioning, Pakistan can only boast because of the hindrances Indian users create for Indian industry
I dare say Bharat Forge alone would eclipse the entirety of Pakistan’s defence industry if given the orders they deserve across the board

The Indian origin CEO of a company which has the world's best engineering design AI model now, bettering frontier models like GPT Astra, is open to collaborating for using the model in India's engineering design and development.
It's a foreign company, sure. But something can be worked out, I think. If some initiative is taken by GoI to see if their model can be deployed securely for India's engineering R&D purposes. I think India needs to fast adopt cutting edge AI in design and development.
IMO, India must create special incentives for Indian founded companies in the world to start operations in India and bring their tech to India sooner. Most are innovating cutting edge tech and doing wonderful things. India should benefit from it.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has advised all private satellite TV channels to strictly comply with the Programme Code, warning that violations may invite action under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995. Channels have been asked to ensure responsible reporting, avoid live coverage of anti-terror operations, exercise caution with violent visuals, protect sexual offence victims’ identities, use authentic maps of India and prevent communal or anti-national content. The advisory also calls for caution in using AI tools and stronger editorial oversight.
