The "Everything is P5" take is the most surface level and silly take when you think about it
All they're taking from P5 is how to control the menu, it's like saying everything before P5 was copying P1 because you had to scroll through a list of options rather than P5s buttons

I think people also forget part of what makes p5’s ui design good is more than just the visual appeal like its legible straightforward and not a command list. Its not “reheating p5’s nacho’s” to use genuinely good design principles
