utah’s lege tasked the auditor with enforcement for their anti-trans bathroom bill. the auditor created a fairly standard online reporting form, which got inundated with junk. the auditor’s pissed at the legislature—as he should be!
this is gross. writing should not be compelled as a punishment. correctness should not be part of the criteria for evaluating these, either. the fact that it is shows how hollow the “assignment” is.
