Excited to announce Agent Mode. 1/ Right now, agents are struggling to use websites on the internet. As a result, personal agents take too long to reply, and don’t get the information they need.

We just raised a $60M Series B at a $1B valuation to build @daytonaio into the Agent Cloud. @FirstMarkCap led the round, with all key existing investors and angels doubling down. We're also thrilled to welcome the founders of some generational companies aboard, including @patrickc (Stripe), @tobi (Shopify), @AravSrinivas (Perplexity), @BrendanFoody (Mercor), @oliveur (Datadog), @adamdangelo (Quora) and @ericsyuan (Zoom) We're a 35-person team. But that's about to change; we're hiring across the board, and we'd love for you to join us.

need GPUs? go modal! or go home.
Today we're announcing that Modal has crossed $1B in annualized run rate, as well as raised a $750M Series D at a $15.75B valuation, led by @Accel. Since our Series C, usage has tripled and we’ve grown more than 15x year-over-year. We are deeply grateful to the developers and companies building on Modal. There's still so much more to build, and we can't think of a better time to be building software.

Introducing interfaze-1-lite, the first general open-weight model for deterministic work OCR, speech-to-text, extraction, classification and more It returns confidence scores and metadata like bounding boxes on every run huggingface.co/interfaze-ai/…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Interfaze appears to have copied the Chandra OCR 2 model, renamed it, and changed the license, without disclosing that the model is not orginal. See x.com/VikParuchuri/s…

If you’re shamed in trying to be alive, and you’re being questioned, smile, step back, and avoid engaging. This is what I learnt today :)

Shall any man hate me? That will be his affair. But I will be mild and benevolent toward every man, and ready to show even him his mistake, not reproachfully, nor yet as making a display of my endurance, but nobly and honestly.

Turn DiffusionGemma into a Jev-like model. This brings a new level of precision to structured tasks. By seeding a canvas with a response template, vLLM lets you extract confidence scores and probability distributions for yes/no, multiple-choice, and scored questions, all in a single denoising step. Fast, efficient, and ready to scale!

When our CTO and I disagree on a technical direction, I go back and educate myself. Why am I wrong? What are the counterpoints? What does the literature say? Then I come back with an argument. I expect that from everyone in the company. If you're waiting for someone to explain it to you, you're already behind.

A friend told me today: “We have a colleague named Bob. Ask him anything, and he just copy your question to an AI agent and sends the answer back.” Every company has a Bob.
