Were you active on early social media as a teenager or young adult (def. flexy) 1998-2012? Did your experience on these sites change your relationship with or identity or politics around feminism, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, and/or queerness? PLEASE TALK WITH ME. 1/?

Oral histories will be made public through means that the participants agree to with as little/much identifying information as the participants desire. This project has been reviewed by the Grand Valley State University Institutional Research Board and has been exempted. 4/4

If you would be willing to do an oral history conversation with me regarding your experiences, please reach out to me here or at [email protected]. These oral histories will provide the foundations of the Feminism Online Oral History Project. 3/?

I'm starting an oral history project regarding use of early social media (think broadly pre-hashtag) and how it impacted young people's identities and politics around feminism, racism, colonialism, and queerness. 2/?

My god, if they ever want to do a series on Lessons in Chemistry (Apple+) on @youaregoodpod , I would do it for free. There is so much about reproductive Justice, community justice, and higher Ed in it.

The Jewish people are not a monolith. Anyone who tells you otherwise is misleading you. I am Jewish and am part of a vast and growing progressive Jewish community that understands the phrase as it is intended: freedom for all people-not just Jews-between the river & the sea. 🧵
This is not how Jews view the phrase “from the river to the sea.” This is not how Hamas views the phrase “from the river to the sea.” Hamas uses it as a rallying cry. And they don’t simply want to displace Jews in Israel. They want Jews dead.

As Hawaiians wake up to the news of Palestinian anticolonial resistance in Gaza to Israeli settler colonialism, remember that—from Hawaiʻi to Palestine—occupation is a crime. A lāhui that stands for decolonization and deoccupation should also stand behind freedom for Palestine.

“I was invited on to talk about misogyny in media… A minute before broadcast, suddenly it’s a discussion about free speech!” @mlothianmclean on Sky News exposing how mainstream media chases after culture war set pieces, rather than relevant analysis.

There is no solution to child care that capitalism can provide. Families can't afford to pay any more, providers can't afford to pay any less, and workers make less than a barista for stressful, essential work. The only solution is public, universal child care access.

I love our sweet boy, Randy Tight. I really wish that veterinary science, our budgets, and general medical tech worked. But here we are, operating on the world of unknown.

Disney is not promoting this show like they should. Marsai Martin is an executive producer for Saturdays. It’s a coming of age comedy about a 14 year old girl who loves to skate with her friends. You can stream Saturdays on Disney+.

Seeing all the videos of #OshaeSibley dancing & seeing protesters vouging in support, made me think of all the little Black, Queer boys out there & what it means to find joy in the simplest things like dancing. We won’t let bigots dim their light. Queer lives matter. RIP Oshae

If your version of "Standing up for women" doesn't include trans women, then you are upholding the patriarchy. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. And we all have unlearning to do. I get it. It can be very hard to unlearn problematic things. I struggle everyday.
