Starting to think crypto influencer tokens aren’t the future of finance…

In the middle of meetings I'm going to stop talking and start saying "compacting context, this can take a few minutes."

have we ever stopped to consider what happens if hyperliquid gets compromised? at this point we can’t rule anything out. like, we’ve spent years treating a binance hack like the one that just happened as the ultimate black swan, and now we’re watching something of that magnitude unfold in front of us. but what happens if the same thing happens to hyperliquid? would it make the $6b binance incident look like a walk in the park? idk, the amount of systemic risk we’ve collectively become “used to” in this industry is genuinely something else.

Agree here. But more of an embarrassing week than a crazy one ngl. The amount of security hacks we've had this week indicate that crypto might not be ready for the next level if anytime soon.
What a crazy week -Binance got hacked -Polymarket faced a security incident after a third-party provider was compromised -Trezor got caught up in the CryptoBilis incident -Intel stock dropped nearly 30% -Google stock dropped nearly 13% Happy weekend!

How is onchain positioning for the massive launch of GTA6 in November? Pretty obvious question no one seems to be asking. I've personally been working on something with the team for weeks. Infrastructure already at final stages Y'all are not ready.

"Post-mortem." Basically a fancy way of saying that it's what the company in question wants their users/investors to think or believe. There's literally no way of knowing if the employee-laptop situation is a fact or just damage-control
how does one laptop result in 6B being stolen? that doesnt sound plausible

We're not ready as an industry. For a product to replace another, it has to be technically and marketably superior in every category and crypto isn't looking like the future right now. Infrastructure security here is dogshit. Even banks in TradFi don't loose money like this, and ironically they're considered inferior technology

Very ironic that CZ takes something like this personally given his history. It's always humbling when you realise how fast the tables can turn. CZ has been at both sides of this situation; the guy trolling with nothing to loose (Sam/FTX era) and the guy with everything to loose (Now) Life always finds a way to come full circle. Lesson in there
I can’t believe this app is free Elon is now trolling CZ after the $6 BILLION binance hack CZ responds by saying he’s will full clip $1B worth of $SPCX if Elon doesn’t show some support Pure entertainment 🥀

Sadly, this is true. Crypto has a massive security issue that doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon Whoever fixes the security crisis we have right now will make trillions. Who is building this?
Your crypto is not safe ANYWHERE

Also worth noting that this problem exists at the infrastructure and not the protocol level.

We can't blame Retail here for being skeptics. Most crypto founders are generally extractive rather than add value Take crypto gaming for example; Over $15B raised over the years yet we don't have a single standout game that's broadly adopted/mainstream yet. Tells you all you need to know.
If Pokémon launched as an NFT collection today, half of crypto Twitter would ask about staking rewards before learning the characters’ names. That’s how backwards NFT culture has become.
