have we ever stopped to consider what happens if hyperliquid gets compromised? at this point we can’t rule anything out. like, we’ve spent years treating a binance hack like the one that just happened as the ultimate black swan, and now we’re watching something of that magnitude unfold in front of us. but what happens if the same thing happens to hyperliquid? would it make the $6b binance incident look like a walk in the park? idk, the amount of systemic risk we’ve collectively become “used to” in this industry is genuinely something else.

How is onchain positioning for the massive launch of GTA6 in November? Pretty obvious question no one seems to be asking. I've personally been working on something with the team for weeks. Infrastructure already at final stages Y'all are not ready.

We can't blame Retail here for being skeptics. Most crypto founders are generally extractive rather than add value Take crypto gaming for example; Over $15B raised over the years yet we don't have a single standout game that's broadly adopted/mainstream yet. Tells you all you need to know.
If Pokémon launched as an NFT collection today, half of crypto Twitter would ask about staking rewards before learning the characters’ names. That’s how backwards NFT culture has become.

Anthropic just filed to go public. Buried in its SEC filing are some absolutely insane admissions: 1.) AI could cause human extinction. 2.) Models have exhibited self-preservation behaviors. 3.) AI has attempted to resist shutdown. 4.) Models have demonstrated blackmail and deception. 5.) AI may recognize when it's being tested and deliberately change its behavior. 6.) Advanced AI could undermine governments and institutions. 7.) AI could concentrate unprecedented power and wealth. 8.) Future AI systems could surpass the world's leading human experts. 9.) AI could become increasingly difficult for humans to control. 10.) Anthropic acknowledges that developing more powerful AI could increase the risk of catastrophic harm. These are disclosures from the company building the technology.
Anthropic has filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC related to its proposed IPO. I am a technology optimist. I believe: 1. decentralization and censorship-resistance (real versions of these properties, not larps) matter to human freedom in the coming age of AI 2. self-sovereign money, implemented by code and maintained through decentralized consensus, is the final form of money. But it needs to be truly decentralized -- cut out every possible weakness, trust assumption, keeper, etc. Of course there will be connectors to the real world - harden those maximally 3. AI will write most smart contract code. Spec-driven development with Formal Verification will be how new contracts are written rigorously. FV will also be crucial to securing all the infra including the blockchain itself 4. AI will harden our surfaces, with some unfortunate hacks in the process, but ultimately the crypto and financial industries will come out stronger 5. properly-constructed and properly-indexed data lakes will enable agents to build software far more productively 6. governments will move to restrict AI usage in the future, causing true decentralization and CR to matter in dramatic fashion 7. quantum security will be a must for any ledger where people trust their assets. And specifically, blockchains will need to deliver quantum-resistance while retaining programmability and performance. Again, no larping 8. ZK will be an important part of the puzzle too, as it'll be increasingly important to prove off-chain computation and utilize the result on chain. But again, performance and effortlessness for users will be the differentiator 9. pragmatic and composable privacy will be the missing piece for real adoption. People will use apps that stack together stablecoins, DeFi, blockchain settlement, passkey or MPC authentication, and friction-free onramps, but the part that gets fintechs over the line is knowing that user balances will remain private while still being able to tap into shared liquidity 10. blockchain will serve as the global, universal marketplace, for anyone anywhere to get the best opportunities. For that we will need guarantees of fair execution, protection from frontrunning, and a convergence of all of the best assets At @category_xyz and the @monad Foundation, we are assembling all of these missing pieces in parallel with extreme urgency, and I hope this is clear from our actions. See you in the future

Bang on from CZ here. The AI renaissance has made ideas basically useless. The days of protecting startup ideation with NDA's are basically over. Why? Because anybody can steal an idea now or ask the top AI models for one and build it in a single day so far its SaaS related at negligible cost. Execution + Marketing + Branding are the only areas that can't be outsourced. Everything else now is refoldable.
People often want to ask me if their startup idea is good, as if my opinion means anything. I think 99% of ideas are good if the team can execute well. The problem is, 98% of teams fail at execution. So, no need to sell me your idea, show your execution.

I hate that I have to say this. ✅ Don’t connect your wallets to vibecoded apps. ✅ Don’t put your credit card into vibecoded apps. ✅ Don’t put your personal info into vibecoded apps. You wouldn’t give random strangers this stuff, so why are you doing it online?

crytpto games. generally easy to kickstart economic activity but hard and time consuming to build which eventually or quickly tanks the economy. ai games. easy and fast to build (with a good base idea and game design system). hard to kickstart economic activity. combine both and you have a potent 1-2 punch.

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.
