Measuring the health of a society based on the gap between the richest and poorest is fundamentally wrong. It is just a convenient way for looters to create resentment, because a gap tells you nothing about whether anyone's life got better.
Run the test. If everyone's real income doubles but the top doubles faster, the gap widens and every person on earth is better off. If the richest lose half their money and nobody else gains a dollar, the gap narrows and not one poor family is helped. A measure that calls the first a failure and the second a success is tracking envy, not wellbeing.
Then look at who we are calling poor. A household below the poverty line in America typically has electricity, running hot water, central heat, a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave, air conditioning, a television, a smartphone and a car. That phone carries the accumulated knowledge of the human race and a map of the planet. A hundred years ago no king had any of it. In 1960 most middle-class families had about half.
That is what a century of production bought, and none of it came from closing a gap. It came from men building things and selling them cheaper than the year before.
The gap gets cited because it never closes and never runs out. A permanent grievance with a permanent remedy attached, which is taking more.

The wealth gap is now at an all-time high. That's not a healthy society.

The Top 10% of earners are why you have a job, a house to live in, a car to drive, a supercomputer in your pocket and every other service and product you enjoy.
The bottom 10% are why you have locks on your doors and taxes are so high.
That’s reality.

What's obscene is pretending that insufficient taxation is the problem when decades of government spending have demonstrated how spectacularly politicians can waste other people's money while failing to solve the problems they promised to fix.
Bernie's solution is always more money, more power, and less accountability.
At what point does government failure become an argument against giving it more?

The Ford model of public education is a failed experiment. School systems are Democrat hiring programs. Kids don’t stand a chance.

She is such an insufferable, awkward, hollow skulled person.
She is so incompetent it baffles the mind of anyone who can fog a mirror.
This is what happens when moderates, independents, and republicans stay home.
Get out and VOTE.
We have seen evidence of the corruption that occurs when the federal budget is at $7+ trillion, larger than the GDP of all but 2 countries. Daycares with no kids, hospice care where patients are cured and go home, invoices for meals not provided....

Democrats want to scrap the Electoral College again.
In 2016 Hillary won the national popular vote by about 2.87 million. She won California alone by about 4.27 million.
The other 49 states and DC went Trump by about 1.4 million. That's why the founders built it.

Nothing screams TRUE SOCIALIST like:
-A millionaire who owns 3 homes
-Arriving in a huge SUV
-To his private jet
-To fly out and give a paid speech
-On the evils of capitalism and fossil fuels
Am I right?

I kid you not.
United States Senator @SenAlexPadilla just posted “INVESTIGATE ELON MUSK.”
That’s it. No specific allegation. No evidence. Not even an explanation of what he wants investigated.
Apparently, identifying a political enemy is sufficient grounds to demand an investigation.
Maybe I should post “INVESTIGATE SENATOR ALEX PADILLA” with no explanation and see how he likes it.
Senator, investigate Musk for WHAT?

SpaceX cut government space-launch costs by 90%. Starlink delivers better connectivity for less. Taxpayers benefit.
Socialist response: “Defund Musk - nationalize Starlink and SpaceX.”
American response: Private companies stay private. Nationalizing ends innovation.
Musk’s response: "Stealing companies is a serious crime. Prison for Reich."
