Minister Lapid: As someone who won a seat in Congress last night, and who cares about Israel: youโ€™re not listening to what American voters โ€“ Jewish and non-Jewish โ€“ are saying. We arenโ€™t starving for a barnstorming tour. Weโ€™re hungry to see respect for international law and human rights.

These war-mongering neo-cons never learn.
Mr. Vice-President, Please allow me to present a different perspective. The problem was not the Iran War. It was the cease fire. If you start a war, you need to win it and finish it โ€“ otherwise donโ€™t start it. This war should have been over six months ago, with the Strait of Hormuz wide open and oil flowing. The second and third tiers of Iranian leadership should have been destroyed, and we should have supported the pro-western forces who could have taken leadership. We stood on the brink of a new, more peaceful Middle East - and then we blinked. We had a chance not only to deny Iran nuclear weapons, but to get rid of the worldโ€™s biggest supporter of terrorism. Instead, we had a cease fire, which was followed by months of will we or wonโ€™t we finish the job. Every day was a different message. There still is. Is the war over? Is it about to begin? No one knows. There is confusion and inconsistency. In June 2025, America was not involved. This was an Israel vs Iran issue. No one forced the United States to attack Iran then, or in February of 2026. It was a decision made by President Trump. In my opinion, it was the right decision. Once the decision was made, we should not have stopped until the regime fell. But instead, you negotiated a cease fire that didnโ€™t last, didnโ€™t work and left us in no manโ€™s land, with higher prices and our troops still deployed. Our troops could have been home, the Navy returned to its bases, a peaceful regime in place , new alliances forged, and gas prices below $3.00 a gallon. No, Mr. Vice President. Itโ€™s not the war. Itโ€™s the so-called cease fire.

One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"โ€”whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasnโ€™t sharp enough down the stretch. Iโ€™m sure thatโ€™s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollsterโ€”one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday weโ€™d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (Sheโ€™s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcementโ€”by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, โ€œI told you soโ€: youโ€™re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Letโ€™s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

YES, THE REPUBLICANS LOST control of the House and the Senate. But the real story of US politics this week is the defeat of the Democratic Partyโ€™s old guard and the first large-scale failure of AIPAC. Voters wanted a genuine anti-war stance, NOT the horrific Joe Biden/ Kamila Harris pro-Israel line. - Both those stale Democrats pledged undying loyalty to Israel, endless funds for Netanyahu, and a bottomless supply of "special price for you" bombs with which Tel Aviv could blow up surrounding communities ("defend Israel"). - The old Democrats were loudly pro-war โ€“ we canโ€™t forget Kamila Harrisโ€™s insistence that the US would have โ€œthe most lethal force on Earthโ€, and her partyโ€™s insistence that not enough taxpayer cash was being diverted to the military. - The Democrats were also heavily into global dominance. Biden arranged โ€œDemocracy Summitsโ€ which excluded actual democratic countries, because the gatherings were really just thinly disguised sales meetings of pro-Washington agents from around the world. (Asiaโ€™s oldest democracy, Sri Lanka, was excluded for not hating China enough, and Taiwan, which isnโ€™t even a country by the USโ€™s own definition, was included.) - Bidenโ€™s foreign secretary Tony Blinken endlessly peddled the absurd lie that the US underpinned the โ€œrules-based orderโ€, when the country refused to sign or ratify more than 40 of the international conventions that kept the world safe. (In contrast, China DID sign most of them.) . GLOBAL INTERFERENCE The old Democrats, the public realized, were worse than the Republicans on the issue of US interference around the world. And Trump exploited that. Trump defeated the Democrats in 2024 by simply realizing that the US public was opposed to overseas wars. Their leader said he would stop wars โ€œon his first dayโ€. It won him power. Then he did the opposite, starting the most ill-considered war for decades, attacking Iran on Israelโ€™s behalf, and he also threatened war on Panama, Canada, Greenlandโ€”anyone who opposed the old US habit of global military expansionism. . WHO ATTACKED INTERNATIONAL LAW? Most of the world is saying that Donald Trumpโ€™s administration repeatedly violates international law. This criticism is clearly valid. But we mustnโ€™t forget that Joe Biden did the exact same thing earlier. โ€œBiden showed that international law is little more than a cudgel to be used against our enemies while being treated as optional for our friends,โ€ wrote foreign policy advisor Matt Duss in a January 2025 review of how Biden lost to Trump. . ISRAEL CONSENSUS IS OVER So letโ€™s be clear about who was really defeated this week. It was the militarist status quo favored by the terrifying Israeli lobby. Pro-Palestinian candidates won many races, and Michiganโ€™s Abdul El-Sayed became the first Muslim in the US Senate, despite (and this is the key) AIPAC spending more than US$40m to defeat him. โ€œThe old bipartisan consensus on Israel is over,โ€ Beth Miller, political director of Jewish Voice for Peace Action, told the press. What does that mean? America could stop its terrible behaviour in West Asia, and decline to send more bombs to Netanyahu. It could actually take action against the expansionist โ€œsettlersโ€ in the West Bank. (Letโ€™s be realisticโ€”weโ€™ll believe it when we see it, but at least it is now a possibility.) Letโ€™s recall that just a few weeks ago, AIPAC owned up to the fact that it was now harming candidates by showering them with millions of dollars and boasting that every candidate it backed got elected. It then said it was backing offโ€”which was not actually true. The money will just be steered to their candidates in sneakier ways. . HOPE FOR LESS INTERFERENCE IN ASIA From the point of view of Asiaโ€”which, in human terms, is larger than all the other regions of the world put togetherโ€”the results are mixed, but can be seen as hopeful. Asia wants peace and freedom from US interference. The old United States, both parties, endlessly used their proxy forces in the Philippines and Taiwan and Hong Kong to create friction. Both Biden and Trump worked hard to turn Asia (Australia, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, others) into a network of proxy forces with which to threaten or attack China, which had committed the grave sin, in US eyes, of developing peacefully, without invading the rest of Asia. It would be naรฏve to assume that a major move towards peace is coming. But looking at the number of non-white, pro-peace faces among the mid-term winners yesterday, one can at least hope for a safer, fairer world. . .

BREAKING: SWEET REVENGE! The Navy Admiral who Pete Hegseth fired DEFEATS her MAGA opponent to win a House seat in South Carolina โ€” cementing the blue tsunami with a poetic flourish! This is just too beautiful... Democrat Nancy Lacore, a 35-year Navy veteran who rose through the ranks from helicopter pilot to become Chief of Navy Reserve, was fired in August of 2025 amid Hegseth's purging of high-ranking women in the military. While no official reason was given, the deeply misogynistic Hegseth has not been coy about his caveman belief that only testosterone-injecting men should serve. Lacore has now defeated Republican Jenny Costa Honeycutt to seize a seat that was formerly held by MAGA lunatic Nancy Mace who launched a failed bid for the governor's mansion this year. Lacore has not been shy about criticizing Hegseth's disastrous mismanagement of the Defense Department, particularly his failed Iran War. "Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified Secretary of Defense that we have ever had, and he is doing significant damage to our military that it will really take decades to undo," she said, adding that he "needs to go." The most beautiful irony here? Congresswoman Lacore could soon be voting with the rest of the Democratic majority in the House to impeach Pete Hegseth. We have subpoena power starting in January, so we'll be able to uncover all of the gross negligence and rampant criminality that he's overseen. Ain't karma grand? Please โค๏ธ and share if you support impeaching Pete Hegseth!

The Israel lobby tried to destroy him. Trump and his allies waged a vicious Islamophobic hate campaign against him. The Democratic Establishment undermined him. The Democratic candidate he defeated tried to ratfuck him. But this anti-genocide pro-Medicare for All Muslim WON
It is my honor and privilege to be headed to the US Senate to serve the great state of Michigan.ย  Michigan, we did what they said couldnโ€™t be done. We won. Together. Now the real work begins.

When you listen to James Talarico, you realize that last night's results were not just a rejection of Trump and Israel's Iran war, but also a rejection of a Democratic Party led by people like Biden, Blinken, and Sullivan: "I've never taken money from AIPAC, and I'm not taking money from AIPAC in this campaign. Seeing what's happening in Gaza makes me sick to my stomach as a teacher, as a Christian, as a human being" This is his message, and he won in Texas!

Sigh
Hakeem Jeffries on Morning Joe: The American people don't want us to get even. They want us to get things done on their behalf because life is way too expensive. We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it's our job to govern on affordability.

Trump has single-handedly dismantled both the USโ€™s soft and hard power all over the world, and forced countries to no longer rely on the US. But, yes, Trumpismโ€™s legacy will be with us for generations. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Trump was elected to do politically difficult but necessary things. Securing the border is ugly. Fighting Iran is costly. Taking on special interests upsets donors. Backing AI scares people. Tonight, Republicans paid the costs. The benefits will be with us for many generations.

Keep laughing, boet. Afrisol likely has the support of 1,5% of South Africans. Theyโ€™re just a bunch of grifters, fleecing mainly Afrikaners with scare-mongering. What a sorry bunch of racists and Islamophobes. ๐Ÿ˜‚

What โ€œworkโ€ do they do? Convincing the Trump administration to put pressure on the SA government to get them a neo-Apartheid territory where white people can govern themselves? All that remains of Trumpism is the bluster. Heโ€™s gone, boet. All that remains is a sorry old asshole.

Kiffness is a simp for the right. Republicans donโ€™t have a single Christian of the backbone and moral fibre of Talarico.
If someone preaches a gospel that makes progressive leftists cheer, it's not THE gospel. James Talarico is a master manipulator. He's taken what Christ opposed and fooled many into seeing it as virtue. All the best, Texas ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ may God be with you all.

BREAKING: "THE BAD GUYS LOST" Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed brings down the roof with a victory speech for the ages โ€” and calls out JD Vance with a hilarious jab. A beautiful day is dawning in America... "We showed that in a battle between the money and the many that the many really can win," said El-Sayed. "And so to all the kids who watched this last month, to all the parents who struggled to explain why the President openly mocked someone for their name or how they pray, let them know tomorrow that the bad guys lost!" It's hard to even describe how satisfying this victory is. Mike Rogers ran the most disgustingly racist, Islamophobic campaign in recent memory. He and Trump relentlessly attacked El-Sayed for his name, the color of his skin, and his religion. None of it worked. The people of Michigan rose up, rejected bigotry, and voted for the man who wants to get money out of politics, money in their pockets, and Medicare for All. "We won, so Mike, enjoy your retirement. I know you got a house in Florida and two yachts. See, you chose hate and Michigan chose hope," said El-Sayed. "May we never have to see the likes of you in this state again." But perhaps the funniest part of El-Sayed's speech was when he brought up Vance, with whom he has been feuding back and forth with for months. "JD, habibi, there is this delicious irony in the fact that you're constitutionally obligated to swear me in in January, so you know what that means," said El-Sayed. "Wolverine 1, Buckeye 0." "Donald, look, I know you struggled with my name, so after JD swears me in in January, you can just go on and call me Senator," he added. Senator-elect El-Sayed, you are the very best this country has to offer. Congrats on running an incredible campaign and defeating these fascist monsters! Please โค๏ธ and share if you think Abdul El-Sayed has a long, bright future in American politics!

When Democrats take power again, we need to take a two-pronged approach to cleaning up our institutions and communicating about it. This will rely on investigations, single-issue bills, and an aggressive social media presence from our strongest Democratic communicators. First, Democrats need to launch investigations into the insider trading, pay-for-play, and pardon economy that Donald Trump has created. We need answers to some very serious questions. Did Trump ACTUALLY remove tariffs on Vietnam and then get a golf course announcement just weeks later? But these investigations can't happen in isolation. They need to be paired with single-issue bill after single-issue bill that directly addresses whatever corruption is being uncovered. For example, if Democrats uncover 28,000 insider trades coming from the oval office, we introduce a bill banning executive branch officials from trading individual stocks. Force Republicans to vote on it. If they vote against it, make them explain why. Then, it's necessary to have our strongest communicators flooding the zone about the corruption, and what we're doing. Flipping Steve Bannon's strategy back on him. Imagine if we had Jon Ossoff, AOC, James Talarico, Abdul El-Sayed, and our strongest Democratic communicators making face-to-camera videos every single day explaining exactly what's happening. "Here's the corruption we're investigating. Here's the evidence. Here's how we're going to stop it." I think this is how you connect the dots in voters' minds between the way they vote and having a responsive government that's actually trying to address corruption and rewire the system. Then we move to gerrymandering, affordability, paid family leave, and other reforms. Single-issue bill after single-issue bill, forcing Republicans to take public positions on these issues while Democrats communicate directly with the American people. I know this might sound idealistic, but we already have the tools at our disposal. I see people like Talarico, AOC, and Ossoff pulling insane numbers on social media. There's no reason that same infrastructure can't be used to explain congressional investigations, proposed legislation, and exactly what Democrats are doing with the power voters gave them.

AfriMAGA made a bet on Trump, prostrated themselves in front of him, and agitated for their separatist plans in the WH. They thought it wise to expose this country to the vagaries and impulses of an unstable president. And they must own the damage Trump did to SA.
