Yesterday in Brussels, Irakli Kobakhidze publicly demonstrated what everyone in Georgia has known for a long time - and now Europe has seen it too: sheer incompetence and total detachment from reality.
For a long time they have been blaming Brussels for deadlocking relations, but now it is truly alarming that they openly admit they have no plan and refuse to change their behavior, simply waiting for Brussels and the entire political leadership of the European Union to change instead.

Interesting data point. Recently I had an Iranian Uber driver. I asked her "is it true that there are still practicing zoroastrians in Iran?"
She said "zoroastrian? What's that?"
I said "you know, like zoroaster, uhh zarathustra"
Then I remembered "zartoshti?"
"Ahh!" She says. "Yes! Well that's basically everyone. We just hide it because the government is Muslim"
