영국녹색당(웨일스, 잉글랜드 녹색당)이 현지 시각 지난 4일, 전당대회를 열고 팔레스타인 학살을 자행하고 있는 이스라엘의 시온주의를 인종차별로 규정하는 결의안을 통과시켰다. 한국녹색당은 영국녹색당의 이번 결정을 지지한다.
결의안에서 영국녹색당은 시온주의를 “다른 모든 형태의 인종차별과 같이 취급해야 한다”고 명시했다. 시온주의는 팔레스타인 지역에 유대인 국가 건설을 목적으로 하는 근대 민족주의 운동이다. 구약성경에 근간을 두며 팔레스타인인에 대한 인권 유린과 폭력의 이념적 배경이 된다.
이스라엘은 요르단강 서안지구를 불법 점령하고 대규모 유대인 정착촌을 건설하며 팔레스타인인들에 대한 강제 이주와 권리 박탈을 자행하고 있다. 2023년 10월 시작된 이스라엘의 가자지구에 대한 대규모 공격으로 현재까지 최고 7만 5천 명의 팔레스타인인이 사망했다.
3년간 이어진 집단학살로 가자지구 인구의 10% 이상이 사망하거나 부상을 입었다. 사망자의 60~70%는 여성과 아동이다. 봉쇄된 가자지구에서 가자 주민들은 질병과 목마름, 굶주림에 시달리고 있다. 이는 21세기에 벌어지고 있는 가장 끔찍한 인종청소이자 제노사이드이다.
한국녹색당은 영국녹색당의 ‘시온주의는 인종차별’이라는 결정을 다시 한번 환영하며, 팔레스타인 민중에 대한 연대와 지지를 보낸다. 이스라엘과 미국은 당장 가자지구에 대한 봉쇄를 해제하라. 가자지구에 대한 공습을 중단하라.
반인륜적인 학살과 전쟁범죄에 굴복하지 않고 저항하고 있는 팔레스타인 민중을 향한 우리의 연대는 멈추지 않을 것이다.

Everyone keeps talking about Russia invading Ukraine like it came out of nowhere.
It didn't.
Russia told the West for 30 years exactly what would happen if NATO expanded to Ukraine. Every Russian leader since Gorbachev said the same thing. Different presidents, same message: NATO in Ukraine is a red line.
1990s: "Don't expand NATO east."
2000s: "NATO expansion threatens our security."
2008: "Ukraine joining NATO means war."
2014: "We will protect Russian speakers in Ukraine."
2021: "Stop sending weapons and building NATO bases."
The warnings were public. On record. In speeches, interviews, diplomatic meetings. This wasn't hidden. This wasn't subtle.
The West ignored every single one.
NATO expanded anyway. First Poland and Hungary. Then the Baltics. Then talk of Ukraine and Georgia. Each time, Russia protested. Each time, the West pushed forward.
February 2022 didn't surprise anyone who was paying attention.
Russia said this would happen. The West called it bluffing. Then acted shocked when Russia followed through.
Here's what gives it away: the timing.
America left Afghanistan in August 2021. After 20 years, suddenly they needed out immediately. Left billions in equipment. Pulled out so fast it was chaotic.
Six months later, Russia invades Ukraine.
That's not coincidence. That's preparation. The US knew what was coming. They knew they couldn't handle two major conflicts at once. So they ended one to focus on the other.
I'm not a professional analyst. I'm just a Serbian who watches patterns. And even I knew Russia would respond when the line got crossed.
You're telling me NATO intelligence didn't see this coming? You're telling me the CIA was surprised?
They knew. They've always known.
The question isn't why Russia invaded. The question is why the West pushed them to do it.

1- No country at war is required to provide aid to enemy civilians.
2- Historically speaking…that never happened.
This. When we first had a pro-Israel guest on the show in 2019 I was skeptical. We have had several Pro-Palestine guests on the show since Oct 7 and I have hosted debates with them. They have absolutely convinced me that they are simply using the suffering of people in Gaza for their own nefarious ends and have no desire to work for a constructive solution whatsoever.
It's just pure victimhood click farming, anti-Western dogma and nothing else. They are one of the main obstacles to peace in the Middle East.

I'm old enough to remember Ukraine before February 2022. Before the great PR makeover. Before billions in British public money started flowing. Before the swastikas were quietly airbrushed out of the picture and yesterday's neo-Nazi problem became today's inconvenient history.
Back in January 2015, Ross Kemp travelled to Ukraine for his Extreme World documentary series, investigating the rise of the far right and the Azov Battalion, including its neo-Nazi elements and symbolism.
This was British mainstream television, not Russian propaganda.
Funny how quickly history gets rewritten when the geopolitical interests change and the public chequebook comes out.
Of course, Ukraine's corruption, extremist movements and internal divisions didn't magically disappear in February 2022. But suddenly, mentioning what British journalists had openly reported for years was enough to get you branded a Kremlin sympathiser.

Inspired by Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s France Unbowed and its “strategy of conflict,” the idea is to set the terms of debate, provoke a backlash, and heighten contradictions to force opponents to reveal positions.
Rather than chase more MPs by moderating its politics, Kumar says the Greens should use confrontation to shift the debate leftward and become an anti-establishment force.
“We want to drag [the paradigm] to the left kicking and screaming.”
