Nice! finally fixed my @OmarchyMac @omarchy audio on MacBookPro14 Cirrus Logic CS8409 audio chip.. installed the snd_hda_macbookpro driver using DKMS with matching kernel headers. Used DKMS cause it rebuilds the driver when kernel updates. Now all works great

So fun just built a tiny robot driven by ESP32 board with simple sensors. What I love is that its first python project with my 9yo and he is now chatting with chatgpt to add new capabilities

Was a very interesting company, amazing how they rebuilt themselves.. how easy it can be to not exist, I think relevant for anyone that is building/part of a startup, I like the personal perspective here, we are used to success stories, it’s important to learn from failures
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

The interesting part of the new decision models wave is a great business case study- Jev was in the oven for long time and after release, they are already in a very challenging competition thenewstack.io/openai-decisi…

Just recorded with Vicky a great episode. How do you keep modern engineering practices when your product is deployed also on-prem and engineers are naturally away from production? On-prem & SaaS shouldn't become two different engineering cultures medium.com/@levyeran/episode…

The same fundamentals are important than ever: small incremental, shift left and having the right context for good review

challenging times to lead engineering when people compare 3 prompts vibe coded thingy with a scalable, reliable and evolvable that a team worked on for a quarter ..it dramatically reduced the time for something works but it confuses people with survives the next 100 prompts;)

Nice post on the AI psychosis going on these days and how its pushing people not do their job instead of making sure the correct engineering outcome is happening with the right spec, review etc handyai.substack.com/p/your-…

The cognitive load gets higher, you are just parallelizing unfinished work and the ownership stays on the engineer e2e, leads need to support their people in not pushing for more code pushed but rather to make sure they stand behind them: quality, etc yusufaytas.com/where-the-aut…

Fresh view on code reviews, its very rare that you can find bugs in a review, if you want to define standards just automate them. Use reviews to knowledge share and understand the system especially now that PRs are produced in seconds with thousand lines martinfowler.com/rachels-ram…
