Special s/o to @lowbrownative who has been working tirelessly on some back end things for @cycol_gallery. Improving the experiences we will be facilitating with 2.0 and making sure what we are building has the ability to scale out. Incredibly grateful for you.

Coming to Cycol Gallery on November 6th.
Of Voices will present the work of three exceptional artists, spanning both the traditional and digital art worlds. Danielle Mastrion, @DianeeLindo, and @RebeccaRose will bring their distinct styles and voice to our next exhibition at 91 Allen.
To pair with this, Cycol is also incredibly excited to announce Cycol 2.0 will officially be revealed to the public on this evening, launching the beginning of something truly unique and special as we aim to be one of the most recognized cultural hubs in NYC.
Powered by @solana @bonk_inu and our friends and partners @Collector_Crypt @RaposaCoffeeCo @flexasaurusrex, with more tba.

We are beyond hyped to announce an incredible new interactive station as part of Cycol 2.0, featuring the brilliant MTV time-travel device built by @flexasaurusrex!
Step up, select any year, and let the classic music videos of that era take over. Whether you're reliving the peak 80s synth-pop aesthetic, 90s hip-hop golden era, or anything in between, the ultimate nostalgic music experience is landing on 91 Allen Street very soon.

Beautiful four page profile on @cycol_gallery for Artventurous Magazine’s 45th Issue. Big thank you to Wil and team for this opportunity to get some global recognition in the art fair circuit this year.
“In a moment obsessed with predicting whether art’s future will be physical or digital, Cycol proposes a more useful answer.”

Update on Cycol 2.0 tomorrow. The vision for what it is and where we are headed. Excited, a bit terrified, but ready.
Stay away from @TimeToBeHappyGY
Altough I visited the gallery twice, had good professional contacts with Ben Zion & wore his TimeToBeHappy T-Shirt multiple times last year to say GM, I am disgusted by his behavior and totally distance myself.

Unfollowing a lot of people who were way too close to @TimeToBeHappyGY not to have known how this mfer behaved.

I’m going to comment as someone who was an art resident there from May up until a few days ago. When I had first started a girl that was leaving asked if I was starting residency there that I should never stay past 9, and when I asked why she said it was because of something involving the owner but that she couldn’t say anything, but since I was a woman wanted to warn me. I took that and kept it in mind and never stayed passed 9pm. He would often get mad at me for leaving around 9-930pm. After the first two months, I started noticing strange behavior, and the people he’d invite for private dinners there were often very weird towards us women. There was a man being creepy that kept coming back and when we mentioned it made us uncomfortable he said “guys this is a part of being artists and how you get famous”. He also had a special bottle of liquor he’d keep for when he’d bring pretty petite women off the street to the back after a gallery tour to take shots. An artist (male) once took one of the shots and he got kicked out of the residency for it, again odd.
He told another artist that she had to sell her painting to the collector at his house and when she asked if she could bring her boyfriend he told her no. And she thought he was joking and he was like no I’m serious why would I be joking? (She still took her bf). This was during nft nyc btw.
Also during NFT NYC this year, I was showcasing at a lot of events so I wasn’t at every single one at TTBH, though I was at a lot and was painting all day for one of the days. The day I wasn’t there at all was for canal st show and BurritoDAO event at lume studios, a guy I met there when I mentioned I was doing residency at TTBH told me his gf was assaulted there, and some of her friends. Then, benzi showed up, grabbed my shoulders from behind and was bragging he got an art piece of mine, and then made eye contact with that guy that said Benzi assaulted his gf, and disappeared.
So I was wanting to grab my things already just with everything else I was hearing and witnessing the last month, and then I saw this video. And this girl is very sweet and talented and shouldn’t be discredited because I’m not at all shocked by this behavior as someone who was in residency for nearly 5 months there. I’ve seen strange demeanor, but these people who don’t know each other and have the same allegations on top of what all I’ve witnessed is enough.
When I grabbed all my things to take out he immediately brought this video up, asked me to step to the side as I’m leaving and kept trying to explain himself and then was telling me I’m welcome to come back and paint whenever and kept trying to ask about my current painting while I was waiting for my uber so I explained it represents yin and yang in my style happiness can’t exist without sadness and vice versa, and he was like “ so the top is the happiness and the bottom is fear, no?” And that idk. It really made me feel uncomfortable and luckily my uber finally showed up to pack my things because I was scared. I brought my ex with me to grab my things even. This is just the tip of the iceberg, there is a lot I witnessed the last two months that is why I had been wanting to find a good time to grab my things anyway. It’s just disgusting all around. Too many layers. And I’m scared for sending this but I need to because people discrediting her don’t even know how bad it is. She is a young 19 year old girl and no one deserves that

This one is bittersweet. After an incredible run with @bonk_inu, a run that spanned over two years, I will be stepping aside to run @cycol_gallery.
We did some incredible things together. With Exchange Art we led with an artist first mentality, and with a team of over 20 artists employed during a bear market, we guided the charge in bringing a fractured Solana art community together. And we did it with action. Collaborative exhibitions all over the world, the Art Lead partnership with @SolanaEvents to bring more art activations to Breakpoint, Accelerate, Hacker Houses, and all other global events, established grants programming supporting and empowering hundreds of creatives, and the birth of something incredibly special in Cycol Gallery, @solana’s very own brick and mortar gallery.
The good news in all of this is that BONK will continue to support Cycol moving forward. BONK has supported the arts on Solana since day one and they will continue because they give a damn.
Cycol Gallery is officially transfered under my business, Tascbar Creative Solutions Inc. It's my baby now. I’m feeling equal parts excited and terrified to fully own this next era and start building Cycol 2.0. More on this very soon.
Thank you to @TheOnlyNom for changing my life. You said it was me who did it, but entrusting me to lead BONK Art Masters allowed for me to grow in ways I could have never imagined. Thank you to @iamkadense for your mentorship and most importantly your friendship, and Mac for inspiring me to dream big. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey thus far — the artists, the collectors, the team, and the community. I couldn’t have gotten here without you. I may no longer be at BONK, but having the gallery still be powered by Solana and BONK will allow us to continue doing great things here at Cycol. I'm ready for this next chapter and I'm proud to have The Dog running alongside me still. Let's BONK.

We can solve a lot of our problems here by reducing our talk in absolutes. That is where we lose a lot of respect and create narratives that don’t exist. We can support dope projects without calling them revolutionary, game changing, or iconic. Because nothing we have done here is any of that yet. Time will make that determination.
