Carers allowance improvement is obscene. I don't think this government appreciates how much it would cost if those carers said "fuck it, i'll work full time and social care can deal with it".
Abusing good will of family and friends.
Bastards.

Disability News Service has investigated animations circulating on social media that portray PIP claimants as fraudsters.
Some have attracted hundreds of thousands of views.
Meanwhile, disabled creators are left challenging the same misinformation again and again.
PIP is not an unemployment benefit. People can work and receive it.
Criticising welfare policy is legitimate. Spreading misleading stereotypes about disabled people is something else entirely.
Social media platforms need to take their responsibilities seriously.

This is why disabled people fear going into hospital
A 37-year-old man with a severe muscle-wasting disease has been trapped in a hospital for more than 13 months because of a dispute over his care.
Ravi Mehta has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and used to receive NHS funding that allowed him to hire his own carers and to live at home.
Now that has been taken away from him, and he is threatened with being put in a care home.

Sainsbury's has posted an annual profit of £1.02bn.
It current has 10,000 young people working for free, paid by you.
With £1.02bn it could hire 105,905 people aged 18-20 for 16 hours a week all year.
Why not MAKE the scumbags hire instead of giving them free workers?

Who provides the care NOW, Helen? Millions of unpaid carers, some doing 100+ hours a week for £86.45. Others get nothing.
You call funded care “monumentally expensive”, yet families pay with their health, careers and independence.
Then you label them “economically inactive”.

Glad to see this story on the first page of the Google news section when searching for 'Times Welfare Inquiry'. It's vital that @thetimes and @frasernelson stop ignoring this crucial aspect of social security reform:
