Funny how the majority of the negative replies to this post are from anonymous accounts with hardly any followers based in โฆ the EU ๐๐๐
The rest are from a bunch of simpletons still unable to accept democracy and who believe the UK can rejoin the EU uniquely without signing up to the EU Treaties. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

Brexit is and always was a class issue.
The middle class are still furious at the inconvenience of it being more difficult for Ollie or Jemima to go to Uni in Italy, or go inter railing round Europe on their gap yah. (They can still do those things btw)
Theyโre fuming that the oiks voted to make them fill in a few more forms to get their au pair a visa and theyโre raging that they have a bit more trouble popping over to their holiday home in France.
They were never in danger of being undercut by Eastern European builders taking their jobs and they were not concerned at large corporations bringing in hordes of cheap labour pricing out Brits on low incomes.
The working class voted for Brexit and ten years on the middle class are attempting to overturn that democratic vote.
Labour is now the party of the middle class which is why Burnham is trying to appeal to them by negotiating freedom of movement with the EU.
He knows it would be disastrous for the working class he claims to represent but he knows who is voting for Labour now.

The British people worked harder than any group in history to end the slave trade.
The idea that we should now pay "reparations" is absurd, and calling people "racist" to get them to shut up is disgusting.
Neil is absolutely right.

A reminder of what Burnham said in May:
"I am not proposing that the UK considers rejoining the EU, I respect the decision that was made at the referendum."
Now he wants an "honest" conversation about the EU after he lied? You canโt trust a word he says.

The Prime Minister seems very conflicted on Brexit.
Ahead of the budget tomorrow, he's announced the removal of import tariffs on over 100 products like baked beans, chocolates and fertilizer.
This is a freedom you don't have as an EU member at all.

...and to add insult to injury, none of this would have happened if France hadn't voted to leave the EU.
Oh sorry, wait a minute. [checks notes]
The sickest man of Europe is still in the EU?
France has long been seen as the EUโs โspoiled child,โ said former Italian PM Mario Monti.
Now, the blocโs second-biggest economy is being dragged into a vicious cycle of twin fiscal and social crises that are fueling each other.

How long before this Labour Government warn us of our water getting turned off to add to the warnings of power outages, food shortages andโฆoh yeahโฆwar?

Exc: Ministers have been secretly warned that some English reservoirs are at risk of running dry, hitting water supplies to homes in the run-up to Christmas.
The governmentโs emergency committee, known as Cobra, is meeting up to twice a week to discuss the situation in the southwest of England and Sussex.
A secret โreasonable worst-case scenarioโ was drawn up, anticipating that several reservoirsโ water stocks could fall to 0 per cent โ dubbed โday zeroโ โ within weeks.
Officials warned that without action, supplies to some homes could be affected, along with disruption to the construction of a nuclear power station and operations at a prison.
Steps have been taken by ministers and water companies to try to mitigate the risks, which insiders stressed were already starting to push back the โday zeroโ dates.
Experts on the governmentโs Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) have also been brought in to help review water companiesโ modelling for protecting stocks for the weeks ahead.
Heatwaves over the summer left half of England in drought. Sussex and the southwest were the most severely affected.
Wimbleball reservoir, which supplies more than 400,000 people in Somerset, has 13 per cent of its capacity, while Ardingly, which serves 280,000 customers across West Sussex, is at 17 per cent, figures from yesterday show.
Reasonable worst-case scenario plans were drawn up by the government, setting out a โday zeroโ envisaging Wimbleball and Ardingly reservoirsโ stocks being completely depleted by December.
Subsequently, the government privately said it was told by South West Water that it did not anticipate Wimbleball running dry due to measures it had put in place. South East Water is also taking action that has shifted Whitehall โday zeroโ forecasts at Ardingly into next year. Even if the reservoirs did run completely dry, water companies would probably be able to transfer supplies from elsewhere.
However, significant concerns remain in government about water disruption to properties supplied by Devonโs Venford reservoir in early November. โDay zeroโ risk monitoring has also started for Cornwallโs Stithians and Drift reservoirs.
Water companies were asked to model the impact of water-saving measures, which have been scrutinised by members of Sage. Ministers were told that shortages could affect daily operations at HMP Exeter and the construction of Hinkley Point C, a nuclear power station being built in Somerset.
Normal levels of rainfall over autumn and winter will not be enough to counteract the effects of the drought, which was extended to cover Yorkshire this month. Officials have calculated there will need to be 120 per cent of long-term average rainfall over the next six months for a nationwide recovery.
