Nohkalikai waterfall is fed directly by rainwater collected on the summit of a relatively small plateau near Sohra (Cherrapunji) in Meghalaya. It plunges about 340 meters (1,115 feet) into an emerald-green pool, making it India's tallest plunge waterfall.

Mesmerizing views at the Wah Kaba waterfalls. It is located near Cherrapunji in Meghalaya. The waterfall descends from a steep rockface and drops approximately 170–190 metres into a gorge. There is a local legend that two fairies live at the falls.

Elephant Falls in Shillong, #Meghalaya, was named by the British because of a large rock near the waterfall that looked like an elephant. Although the rock was destroyed in the devastating Great Assam Earthquake of 1897, the name has endured to this day.
