Julian #Assange is in solitary, denied visitors. He ordered a radio from the prison catalogue six months ago. A friend also ordered him a radio and the authorities returned it, unopened. Even the Beirut hostages Waite, Keenan and McCarthy listened to a radio. This is torture.

Drinking what I thought was going to be mead but turns out to be a parsnip and orange wine from my earliest winemaking days. Must be 15 years old. Very unusual - not unlike oloroso. Definitely has a kick!

Decided to make a very unusual beer today - after the success of the mochaccino white stout I thought I'd get silly and make a huge rye-based spicy coffee cocao version! One for @NishaKatona if my memory of sampling beers at the mad hat brew tap is anything to go by....
