After two years of development in stealth mode, incredibly excited to present this to the world, next week at @LuganoPlanB Forum!

We just released QVAC TranscribePsy, a speech-to-text model small enough to run inside a phone app. It covers 25 European languages on a laptop and 8 on a phone, and on an iPhone 17 Pro Max's Neural Engine the 8-language build transcribes a 10-minute recording in 1.65 seconds. Glasses, robots and phones are moving to voice, and each of them first has to write down what you said. Today that step mostly happens on a server. TranscribePsy does it on the phone or laptop, so dictation and meeting notes keep working with no signal, and a private conversation can be transcribed without the recording ever leaving the room. Run it on our qvac-fabric-speech.cpp's parakeet engine, which optimizes for efficient execution and delivers the highest performance. Get the models: huggingface.co/collections/q…

QVAC's mission is to make intelligence a universal right, not a subscription. Our AI runs on your phone or laptop, and it is open source so you can verify it. @paoloardoino expects 70% of everyday AI tasks to run locally in three years.

You should be able to run AI on any device. You should be able to use it with no internet connection. You should be able to use it without a credit card. You should be able to use it in the language you actually speak. You should be able to ask it anything without anyone else reading the question. You should not need anyone's permission to use it. Intelligence should be a right, not a subscription.

You should be able to use smarter models in your agent. You should be able to use cheaper models in your agent. You should be able to use local models in your agent. You should be able to use a different model for every job. You should be able to switch models in the middle of a conversation. You should be able to choose what data your agent has. You should be able to choose what it remembers and what it forgets. You should be able to choose what computer your agent runs on. You should be able to run it on a machine that never touches the internet. You should be able to run it while your laptop is closed. You should be able to reach it from the apps you already use. You should be able to choose how your agent thinks. You should be able to read the prompt it runs on. You should be able to see every tool it has, and turn off the ones you don't want. You should be able to teach it something once and never explain it again. You should be able to know what it did, and when, and why. You should be able to export your agent. You should be able to read the code. You should be able to change the code. Your agent should be yours.

Onboarding a pear ton of users to @keet_io this weekend 😅 Just so you know. @keet_io doesn't, nor will it ever, have a token. It's P2P. If someone tells you otherwise they are trying to scam you. Enjoy free and private P2P comms.

As also @giacomozucco and @roy_breez say, Lightning Network is the gateway to all Bitcoin protocols powering the future, and here to stay.
"I don't invest in tech that won't scale past 2-3 years. We need solutions for the next 15-20 years." @paoloardoino on why Bitfinex backs Lightning Network over trendy Layer 1s.

There's a new kind of coding I call "vibe coding", where you fully give in to the vibes, embrace exponentials, and forget that the code even exists. It's possible because the LLMs (e.g. Cursor Composer w Sonnet) are getting too good. Also I just talk to Composer with SuperWhisper so I barely even touch the keyboard. I ask for the dumbest things like "decrease the padding on the sidebar by half" because I'm too lazy to find it. I "Accept All" always, I don't read the diffs anymore. When I get error messages I just copy paste them in with no comment, usually that fixes it. The code grows beyond my usual comprehension, I'd have to really read through it for a while. Sometimes the LLMs can't fix a bug so I just work around it or ask for random changes until it goes away. It's not too bad for throwaway weekend projects, but still quite amusing. I'm building a project or webapp, but it's not really coding - I just see stuff, say stuff, run stuff, and copy paste stuff, and it mostly works.

I strongly believe that all managers in a technical area must be technically excellent. Managers in software must write great software or it’s like being a cavalry captain who can’t ride a horse!

Etheria is unifying. v0.9 and v1.0 (the first NFT smart contracts in human history) are wrappable and being airdropped (with caveats) to the corresponding v1.2 holders. Welcome, v1.1! Wrapping and distribution will be an ongoing manual process for a while. Please be patient.
