🔦 @lumeriaskin (YC S26) is building a handheld camera with a UV light that clips onto your phone so you can scan you skin, detect breakouts days before they show up in the mirror, and monitor wrinkles changing over time. Think about it like an Oura Ring for your skin.
Most people stack product after product on their faces and never really understand what is working and what isn't. Lumeria scans your skin with the same kind of light used in clinics. The app tracks how your skin changes over time and gives you personalized product and habit recommendations. They sold out their first batch and did $200k in the first month, with early press from Forbes, Fitt Insider, Her Hustle, and Wellworthy.
@malhalla06 and @TheAntheaGuo are both Berkeley engineers. Anthea worked on Computer Vision at Google, grew up in Shenzhen and is actively negotiating the product, fast-tracking the development process. Maryanne has already exited her first spectroscopy biotech startup at the age of 17 and has 25 million views as an influencer herself! @pioneer_fund is very excited to back these two!

Just preordered my @lumeriaskin Lumoscope at the early price. Been trying to figure out what's actually going on with my skin for years with no real answers — hoping this finally gives me data instead of guesses. Excited to be an early supporter @malhalla06 @TheAntheaGuo 💛
Calling it now, this will be a Unicorn. No way in hell it fails. Absolutely insane.
Everyone owns skincare products, but nobody knows what's actually working.
Today, @theantheaguo and I launch @lumeriaskin (YC S26) to end that.
The Lumoscope is a multispectral camera that clips onto your phone and scans your skin at home with the same light used in clinics, so you see what a mirror can't: a breakout days before it surfaces, and sun damage years before it shows.
Every scan is scored on hydration, redness, texture, and sebum, and it compounds into a record of your own skin. Lumi reads that history, connects flare-ups to causes you'd never suspect, and matches products to YOUR data, instead of a population average.
Preorders are officially open today at $199 only until Aug 16th. Starting today, skincare will no longer feel like guessing. ☀️

It's YC S26 Demo Day tomorrow. Some of the wildest ideas in this batch:
→ @Atomarine_co .... floating data centers on barges at sea, cooled by seawater, aiming to run on nuclear ships. Their logic: grids can't expand fast enough, the ocean can.
→ @KaraLabsAI .... diamond semiconductors. Today diamond sits next to the chip to cool it. Their bet: tomorrow diamond is the chip.
→ @ParasmaAI .... training living human brain cells to compute. The founder got here via a project teaching neurons to play Doom.
→ @LambLabs .... hard-coding an entire AI model directly into silicon. Claiming 20,000+ tokens/sec in some configs.
→ @Locke .... AI for navigating government. Zero to ~$800K ARR in eight weeks, reportedly on track for $1M by Demo Day.
→ Axelrod .... AI-run hotels whose agents click through the ancient front-desk software the way a human would. Lack of APIs in hotels is the moat.
→ @Omantahealth .... a personal scientific R&D team for one patient. Started in oncology, chasing individualized treatment.
→ @Exosat_ .... a politically neutral, sovereign satellite network. The founder joined YC on the logic that if it lifted his odds of building a Starlink-scale company by even 7%, the equity was worth it.
→ @lumeriaskin .... at-home skin imaging. $100K+ in revenue in under 48 hours
Two-person teams, most of them, pointing AI at tangible stuff - chips, oceans, satellites, biology.
Say what you want about YC. This is not a batch of chatbot wrappers.

Today, I completed a full end-to-end brand redesign of generaltranslation.com.
Over two weeks, I shipped a brand design studio, animation/GIF workshop, native component library, and 12 test websites, with a lot of cat supervision and a lot of Fable tokens.
This is my documentation of the journey. Here's how it went ⬇️
