Holy F! They did it. This is amazing and "considered miracle in all human history". I know that there's a lot of amazing med- and biotech advances right now but if this works it deserves a nobel prize imo
Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval.

The human brain remains the most efficient computer we know So cool to see @BioComputingCo learning directly from the brain, and what a pleasure to work with a team that sits at the frontier of the space

Im afraid your wrong on this one.....We need to integrate human consciousness and Computer Intelligence as much as possible....The potential risks with AI misalignment will be greatly decreased if we can fully or partially integrate...that will allow us to go along for the ride

Nick Bostrom says Superintelligence could arrive in 6 months, and that it poses an existential risk 😱 "It's really the last invention we will ever need to make... but there are also significant risks including existential risks." "I think we have to take even short timelines seriously, like, you know, could happen in 6 months, a year or two."

Neuralink's Telepathy enables high speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. It's still 2026, and we already have technology like this. 2030s will make today's science fiction look unimaginative. What an amazing time to be alive
Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.

I nearly teared up during a session yesterday. Nowhere else can you have this level of impact on both individuals and the future of humanity. We’re hiring. Apply if you want in: neuralink.com/careers
Our engineers recently visited one of our speech restoration study participants for a 72-hour hackathon. The goal: rapidly prototype as many features as possible to enhance the experience of using Neuralink to communicate with thought. Here are some of the things we built 🧵

Young Earth Creationists hold humanity responsible for the existence of death. Most Christians now find this untenable, given modern science. But there's another reading consistent with both Christian tradition, and with modern science: Humanity isn't responsible for death existing. But humanity 𝘪𝘴 responsible for death continuing to exist—because we were given the tools to eradicate it, and we chose not to do so. In this reading, that's what is narrated to us in Genesis 1-3. Humanity was given the capacity and the calling to grow into scientific and technological knowledge. Our earliest ancestors began to do so—and had this process continued, we would live in a world where humans had complete control over the ecosystem and the biological processes of death and decay. Instead, our earliest ancestors pursued a different kind of knowledge—the knowledge of how to use violence to exert control—and embarked upon millennia of needless suffering. In Christ, Christians believe that this process has begun to be reversed. The other path has been reopened, and just as at the beginning, we are called to take it.

Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own. In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development. In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences. anthropic.com/research/early…

holy shit. one guy, claude, and 11 external labs. and somehow that was enough to take a potential treatment from an idea to promising results in mice in less than 18 months. we’re living in a completely different world now.

I agree that humanity is at risk. And heres the main problem-Trump doesnt want to pause or slow AI because hes afraid it will hurt stocks ahead of the midterms (Trump's thirst for power takes priority of course) The other problem is that Trump has no idea how to deal with China

Holy Moly: One day after OpenAI announced that its model had disproved the Exponential Time Hypothesis, Anthropic says an internal Claude model independently found a different disproof on the exact same day: October 16. An internal Claude research model used 14 million output tokens with no human input to discover a subexponential algorithm for 3-SAT. Anthropic has now formalized the result across 1,050 Lean modules, checked by both Lean and the independent nanoda kernel. This is more insane: Anthropic says Claude Opus 5.5 can rederive the refutation from just a short technical sketch. Anthropic's release adds 153,191 lines across 1,063 files, The paper says no person is yet known to have checked the full formalization.
“The core algorithm was found on October 16 by an internal Claude research model with 14M output tokens and no human input. Anthropic researchers worked with Claude to improve the presentation, resulting in this paper.” github.com/anthropics/formal…

COPE: If a massive AI disaster occurs, it won't kill *everyone.* STRAIGHT DOPE: Nate Soares: "It's actually pretty hard to get an AI disaster scenario where it kills only half the people." Hoog: So you think it will be 100%? @so8res: Probably yeah, that's sort of the default.

OpenAI just dropped four huge results from its secret internal AI model. 1. Math: It solved the Kakeya conjecture in every dimension. Mathematicians had only cracked small pieces before (2D in 2019, 3D in 2025). 2. Computer science: It proved the Exponential Time Hypothesis is false. Hundreds of research papers assumed it was true. Some really hard problems might be solvable much faster than thought. 3. Physics: It proved the theory of the strong force (QCD)—the force holding atoms' insides together—actually works mathematically. Same for a unified version of the Standard Model. 4. Yang–Mills: Along the way, it proved Yang–Mills existence, part of a $1 million Millennium Prize problem. The math, computer science, and Yang–Mills proofs were all computer double-checked. Top experts are now reviewing everything, including the researchers who proposed the disproved hypothesis and a Nobel Prize winner. OpenAI says it doesn't want academic credit. The model still isn't public 👀

HOLY SHIT. openai just announced a series of enormous scientific breakthroughs from its internal ai models > proved the local smoothing conjecture in all dimensions, resolving kakeya and stein’s restriction conjectures > disproved the exponential time hypothesis, a foundational assumption behind hundreds of computer science papers > produced existence proofs for QCD and a unified completion of the standard model > proved the existence part of yang–mills theory, connected to a $1 million millennium prize problem several of these results have already been formalized in lean, and some of the biggest names in mathematics and theoretical physics are now involved in examining them. this is getting completely insane.

Alright lol ..lets try some more. How about David Deutsch (sometimes called the father of quantum computers) saying that AI may become self aware? Any objections to that one?
