New: Wanna get away? #CBJ sure does. After a home heavy start to their season, they finally hit the road this week. They couldn't be more excited.
"I love being home, but I've never been more excited to get on the road with the guys." -Werenski

Zach Werenski (0-2—2) factored on Kent Johnson's overtime winner to help the @BlueJacketsNHL improve to 5-0-1 in their last six contests in Philadelphia, the team's longest active road point streak against a single opponent.

Also, that 4-3 OT win in Philly was a perfect punctuation mark for my 1,000th #CBJ broadcast. No silver stick or silver mic or silver anything needed. The rewards are the experiences, the people and a family that understands what it takes to get to 1,000. Off to Raleigh.
Bonus take: The move Adam Fantilli made in OT to setup Kent Johnson. Had presence of mind to fake a shot to freeze Vladar and then fed Johnson on a platter.
#CBJ now 4-0 past regulation this season.
Three quick takes.
1. Winning ugly is better than losing pretty. #CBJ will take this win.
2. Too much dump and chase. There are times for it. But way too much tonight. Make a play.
3. Talbot took blame for it going to overtime. Actually think he's reason they got to OT & won.
Rick Bowness: "We had a bad 40 minutes. We'll respond."
Bowness said he was happy with the first and happy they got two points. #CBJ
Postgame reading. From training camp. On Kent Johnson and how coming into this season 100% healthy would make a big difference. He is #CBJ leading goal scorer 10 games into the season.
Last season: 7 goals
This season: 6 goals

#CBJ outshot 28-6 in the final 40 minutes. Fortunate to get a point.
#CBJ sitting back still up 3-1, but now have to kill a penalty. Just five SOG since start of second period.
After a choppy start, #CBJ wide awake. They had more goals (3) than the Flyers had shots (2) in the first.

Columbus goaltender Cam Talbot's career numbers against his old team, the Flyers, aren't too bad: 8-6-1, 2.12 GAA, .928 SP. In fact, they're rather good.
My colleague Andrew is on site at XFinity Mobile Arena. Shoot him a follow. #CBJ
It’s Halloween night at Xfinity Mobile Arena, fitting with #LetsGoFlyers and #CBJ dealing with some early season patches. Definitely spooky season for the loser tonight. Coverage at 7 p.m. for @TheHockeyWriter
