Atlantic Division standings via points percentage. You really don’t want to have a losing/winless streak in this division. Crazy competitive.

I am not joking that I might not have survived if he had gotten into the end zone. I nearly passed out on this alone.

Six former Quebec premiers are joining Canada’s Prime Minister, Mark Carney, at the Canada–European Union Summit in Montreal: Jean Charest, Lucien Bouchard, Pierre-Marc Johnson, Philippe Couillard and Christine Fréchette. They accepted the invitation. They will be at the table. #PLQ #PolQc – at Montréal, Québec

#cdnpoli #polqc

If the PQ's goal is to win a majority, this isn't the right approach. Given public opinion polling and the election results, demonstrating an ability to make gains for Quebec by working with Ottawa is the best way to gain votes. Petty performance politics will alienate voters.
Le choix du Québec de ne pas être à la rencontre d'Ottawa aujourd'hui est un choix assumé et réfléchi. Notre position est simple : le gouvernement du Québec rencontre les nations autochtones directement, de nation à nation, sur notre territoire. (1)

Virtually all of the slopulist right "influencers" in Canada were on Team One BC, which won 1% of the vote. They set their hair on fire when the BC Conservatives decided to stabilize themselves as a mainstream centre-right party at the beginning of the campaign. As with the Alberta referendum, this is yet more evidence that these so-called influencers have no influence, and should be broadly ignored by sensible, principled Canadian conservatives.
A lot of the recent drama on the right in BC came from a crazy right populist splinter party, @One_BCHQ. Made up of self styled “real conservatives” with the usual assortment of weird obsessions & conspiracy theories: vaccines, ostrich farms, chem trails, xenophobia, MAGA North, all communicated with the volume nob stuck on 10. Basically the BC counterpart of hard core Alberta separatist activists, or Bernier’s @peoplespca. Tonight they’re at 1.4% of the vote, after two years of being a hugely divisive distraction on the right of BC politics. Yet another reminder to Conservative parties: ignore the crazy fringe of the hard populist right. Don’t let the tail wag the dog. Let them stay in their little fringe parties. Being a principled conservative party does not mean pandering to incoherent, perennially angry populism. Instead, propose bold, thoughtful policy reforms rooted in conservative principles that appeal to the broad mainstream. Just like the @Conservative_BC did in this winning campaign.

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump and his family have lost surprise elections, thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

I look forward to to hearing how the “blame NATO” camp explains this:
Russian President Vladimir Putin cited genetics to declare that Russians and Ukrainians are “one people” and reiterated his claim to Ukrainian territory, saying: “I think that it is not their territory but the historical territory of Russia.” wapo.st/48aZaZF

Have you noticed how quiet some of the so-called conservative influencers have been about the Conservative victory in British Columbia? No applause. No celebration. Some even went so far as to call the B.C. Conservatives “left-wing.” You would think people who champion conservatism would welcome a Conservative victory. It makes you wonder: is their enthusiasm driven by conservative principles, or does it require a paycheque?

Rick, your president practically kisses Putin’s ass. Maybe sit out the lectures on dictators.
Canada is lost. This is what the Left does. Socialism at home is never enough. By embracing Communist China, and now Turkey, PM Carney has turned his back on America & made clear that Canada sides with dictators, terrorists & thugs who threaten the security of the U.S. & sovereignty of our allies.

Is there not a single person in the Administration who can quietly say to him: “Ah, excuse me, Mr. President: - the Canadian trade surplus with us is actually $46 billion, not $90 billion. - their trade surplus with us is only because we buy $110 billion of oil & gas from them, and we’re getting it at a 30% discount! - without the cheap oil we get from Canada, we run a goods & services trade surplus of $66 billion against them. - So actually we’re “ripping off” those dumb Canadians by $66 billion, and getting their oil at bargain basement prices to boot! You should go out there and take credit! We’re winning! It’s proof that your USMCA is in fact “the single greatest trade agreement ever signed,” like you said back in 2018! - maybe we shouldn’t push the Canadians too far, because they sell us 22% of the oil we use, and 2/3rds of the oil we import. - even before Ukraine started that war over there by refusing to become a Russian vassal state, the Canadians were selling us ten times more oil than Russia. - our candidates in the Northern border states are telling us that our tariffs and attacks on Canada are landing like a lead balloon. - how about we move the focus to Communist China instead? For some reason, our voters seem to think that Canada is a friendly ally, but China is an adversary that has been screwing us over on trade for decades.
Reporter: You're going to Michigan tomorrow. Mike Rogers has said the Canada tariff war has to end. Trump: Canada wants very much to make a deal because of tariffs. They want to make a deal. They've been making $90 billion a year for many years with us.

Canada itself doesn’t need this label. It’s a distraction. Just focus on the pursuing the actual cooperation across a range of areas, and invent a label to describe the relationship later – or don’t label it at all.

Carney did not vote no on “affordability”. He voted no to a loaded resolution worded to guarantee a no vote. Instead of making a valid point about the need to rein in federal deficits, as did the PBO, all you guys appear to be able to do is spew childish partisan propaganda.
How can Liberals fix an economy drowning in red ink if they refuse to even ADMIT there's a problem? Mark Carney voted NO on affordability. Higher taxes. More red tape. Completely out-of-touch. Conservatives have a COMMON SENSE plan: ☑️ Extend the federal fuel tax holiday! ☑️ Scrap the industrial carbon tax! ☑️ Cut wasteful spending!

Conservative MP (who spent 30 years in mainstream media) clarifies that he is unaware that journalists are supposed to report facts (Carney is going to Turkey to diversify trade) and doesn't know what "diversify trade" means.
I spent 30 years in the mainstream media, including in radio, TV, newspapers, and magazines, I’m embarrassed by CTV national talking about Mark Carney, going to Turkey “to diversify our trade” away from the United States. Do you think Turkey will buy 1.5 million Ontario-made vehicles the USA currently buys annually? What a joke. Whatever happened to good journalism in this country?
